With the popularity of the Internet among secondary school students, school bullying has also begun to extend into cyberspace, resulting in a new type of bullying behavior,"cyberbullying.Cyberbullying can be divided into cyberbullying and cyberbullying, and both types of bullying can have many negative effects on the bully and the bullied.Cyberbullying prevention can be targeted if high-risk groups for perpetrating or being bullied can be identified early. Therefore,it is important to find the high correlates of bullying and conduct risk assessment based on them. This study identifies psychological factors that are strongly associated with perpetrating cyberbullying and cyberbullying from a general aggression model, and combines them with demographic variables to construct two risk assessment models for perpetrating cyberbullying and cyberbullying, which provide some empirical support for developing appropriate prevention or intervention measures.Study 1 screened high risk factors for implementing cyberbullying to provide research tools for constructing a risk model for implementing cyberbullying in Study 2.A questionnaire survey of 355 middle school students was selected, and the results revealed that psychopathy in dark personality, moral justification in moral excuses, parental rejection in parenting style, and peer relationship in school climate were more associated with committing cyberbullying, and negative emotions, invisible narcissism, exposure to violence, perceived online anonymity, and ever being cyberbullied were significantly associated with committing cyberbullying.Study 2 developed a risk assessment model for perpetrating cyberbullying by using the risk factors for perpetrating cyberbullying screened in Study 1.Six hundred and seventy-five junior high school students were selected to conduct a questionnaire survey, and a risk assessment model for implementing cyberbullying was developed by means of logistic regression analysis.According to the implementation cyberbullying risk assessment model, the final risk factors that passed the test were seven, including grade level, age, psychopathy, moral defense, peer relationship, perceived online anonymity, and cyberbullying. From the model results, the risk factor that had the greatest impact on the implementation of cyberbullying was the experience of cyberbullying, while the peer relationship was the protective factor. The goodness-of-fit test and prediction accuracy evaluation of the implementation cyberbullying risk assessment model showed that the calibration ability and prediction accuracy of the model were more satisfactory.Study 3 screened high-risk factors for cyberbullying and provided research tools for Study 4 to construct a cyberbullying risk model. The results showed that social competence perception in loneliness, neglect in childhood psychological abuse,parent-child detachment in parent-child attachment, and peer detachment in peer attachment were most associated with cyberbullying, and self-esteem,school bullying, and cyberbullying were associated.Study 4 established a risk assessment model for cyberbullying by examining the three screened risk factors for cyberbullying.A total of 555 junior high school students were selected to conduct a questionnaire survey on cyberbullying, and a risk assessment model of cyberbullying was developed through logistic regression analysis.According to the cyberbullying risk assessment model, there were four risk factors that passed the test, namely, age, bullying on campus, social competence perception, and neglect. The results of the model showed that social competence perception had the greatest impact on cyberbullying, followed by school bullying, third by neglect, and finally by age.The implementation of the cyberbullying risk assessment model was evaluated for goodness-of-fit and prediction accuracy, and the results showed that the calibration ability and prediction accuracy of the model were more satisfactory.Parents and schools can screen out high-risk groups based on the results of the risk assessment model, and parents and schools can focus on this group, intervene early and intervene early in the implementation of cyberbullying or cyberbullying,in order to reduce the adverse effects of cyberbullying to middle school students.
