A Research And Collation On Chen Lvzhong In Qing Dynasty And His Works Named "He Tao Zhi"

Chen Lvzhong is from Shangqiu,Henan province.His ancestral home is Yixing,in Jiangsu province.He was born in 1692,died at the age of sixty-eight in 1759.In the third year of Yongzheng period,he was an official in Ningxia province.He was incorruptibility and cleanness,dared to expostulation,made a lot of achievements in his political life and got many praises and respect from people.The Chen clan was both an official and a wealthy family,it isexactly was a notable family,as one of the eight surnames in Yixing.Chen Lvzhong was born in a literary family which had a profound tradition of family background.Deeply influenced by his family as a child,he was very good at learning,having a solid knowledge in literature.The work was abundant.This paper examines one of his works.He Tao Zhi,to do some research.He Tao Zhi,was made during his official career in Ningxia,as the first local chronicles of Inner Mongolia.The He Tao Monograph contains extensive and detailed records about the changing of government posts in this region,important castles and passes,mountains and monuments,relating terrain and defense of border areas.Through deep research and on-the-spot investigation,Chen Lvzhong has conducted comprehensive exploration on Hetao region.In addition,there is a large amount of historical documents about Ningxia in He Tao Zhi,which is of great value to the study of local chronicles of Ningxia.In this thesis,the research objects are Chen Lvzhong and his work-He Tao Zhi.The thesis is divided into two parts:the first part is including introduction,the life experience of Chen Lvzhong and his study career,He Tao Zhi and some local chronicles of Hetao areas.The introduction is mainly introduces the causes of the selection of the subject,the research objects and current situation of the subject.According to consult relevant literature,the thesis will research Chen's life experience,situation and epitaph.To catalogue He Tao Zhi's literature descriptions,clarify the information and characteristics of its editions and library resources.Meanwhile,this part will research the book's compiling style and the historical sources of its content.The second part is collation.On the basis of sorting and compiling,the collation paper is to record,punctuate,collate and annotate the content of the seven prefaces,one postscript and other six volumes of the monograph,and to finish the collating work of He Tao Zhi.At present,there is no specialized research about Chen Lvzhong and He Tao Zhi.The innovation points of this paper are:first of all,according to analyze Chen's epitaph to correct some wrong records in his life.Then,make a systematic and original tease of the historical data.Finally,the first systematic and comprehensive collection of the monograph is helpful for the study of the local chronicles at Hetao areas.
