With the improvement of education informatization throughout the country,more and more rural schools have installed interactive electronic whiteboards,recording and broadcasting classrooms and other modern educational equipment,which has broken the current shortage of resources in rural schools.At present,there are some common problems in English classroom teaching in primary schools,such as the low quality of teachers' teaching and the weak reading ability of pupils in English.In response to this phenomenon,the author uses picture book resources for a one-semester period of classroom teaching,and studies how the picture book resources affect students in the English class.The cultivation of English reading ability has always been a major difficulty in English teaching in primary schools.Because students in rural schools are less exposed to English than urban students,the authors use picture book resources to increase the enthusiasm of rural school students for English and increase their interest in English.As for the research method,it elaborates the impact of the literature research method,investigation method,observation method and action research method on the implementation of this paper.Searching and analyzing articles on the basis of the "picture book resources" and " English for Primary Schools " on the CNKI has drawn current research directions and research status.During the internship,investigation methods,observation methods and action research methods were carried out.Students were surveyed and observed in class;teachers and parents were interviewed and questionnaire surveys were conducted.Take the fifth grade as an example,collect data,and use SPSS software for analysis.Through the review of the literature both at home and abroad,it finds out the existing problems in the English classroom and the role of English picture books in rural primary English classroom.This instructional design is applicable to all elementary schools that use PEP English textbooks which bases on new curriculum standard.It provides a new type of teaching method for primary school English teachers in their extended classes.The author selected two classes in the fifth grade as the experimental class.Through the three aspects of teaching preparation,teaching process,and teaching evaluation,the teaching design of the entire class was carried out.By analyzing the data of pre-and post-test and final exams,we draw conclusions that picture book resources can improve students' interest in English class.This study is to promote the development of English classroom teaching in rural primary schools through the use of picture book resources,effectively combine theoretical research with picture book resource reading practice,and continuously improve and improve the theory in practice.The action research on picture book resources to promote the development of primary school English classroom teaching has,to a certain extent,stimulated students' interest in learning English,while also improving their reading ability,and correspondingly improving their English performance.Finally I hope that the majority of primary English teachers work together to dig out more value in English picture books.
