A Study On Madhyamika Philosophy Of Tsong-Kha-pa In Dgongs Pa Rab Gsal

As one of the oldest religions in the world,Buddhism has been introduced into China for thousands of years from India.Indian Buddhism has had an important impact on Tibetan Buddhism in China and among them,the Madhyamika philosophy from the Indian Buddhism has injected the speculative nature into the Tibetan Buddhism in China.What has had an important impact on the Madhyamika philosophy of Tibetan Buddhism in China is the dbu ma 'i bstan bcos of the Nagarjuna and the dbu ma la'jugpa by the Candrakirti,in which the study of dbu ma la'jugpa is the most outstanding.Tsong—Kha—pa,a Buddhist scholar in China,wrote on the basis of it and he interprets and reconstructs the idea of Madhyamika philosophy.It embodies the Chinese Buddhist scholars' inheritance and development of Indian Madhyamika philosophy,and the localization process of Indian Buddhism's Madhyamika philosophy in China.Master Tsong—Kha—pa,the writer of dgongs pa rab gsal,is the father of Ge—luk—ba oeder Tibetant Buddhism,and also is the founder of the Gru sect of Tibetan Buddhism in China.He took Madhyamika Prasanga Order as the role to guide his decisions and Tsong—Kha—pa as the guidance.And he had diligently learned from many excellent masters all his life.Finally,his Madhyamika philosophy reached a high degree.Among which,Dgongs pa rab gsal is one of the masterpieces which deeply explained the theory and practices according to Madhyamika Prasanga Order and it's rules.And Dgongs pa rab gsal is one of the sign that marked masterr Tsong—Kha—pa's thought stepped to mature.This thesis will discuss the validity of Madhyamika philosophy in Dgngs pa rab gsal by interpreting the text.The author of the paper tried her best to expound and prove master Tsong—Kha—pa's Madhyamika philosophy according to his unique point of view.The paper is divided into Four parts:The first one briefly talks about the origin of the book.The second part shows the core of the book.The last two parts are the main content of this paper.Before validating the emptiness.During the process of validating the substanial entity of Madhyamika Suatantrika Order and Madhyamika Prasanga Order are established this part talks about "selflessness".The identification and recognition to "selflessness" of Madhyamika Suatantrika Order and Madhyamika Prasanga Order will push our recognition to step to "selflessness".Next,it comes the more important selflessness of phenomena.Selflessness of phenomena showed "identitylessness of production"through negating "four extremes" respectively.The "production does not exist" means"identitylessness of characteristics".In the process of negating "four extremes",the author did it in order and explain it through cause and result.Also,the author took"two fold truth"in negating"production from others".Selflessness of phenomena was proved to be validity.Finally,this paper discusses and examines the Madhyamika philosophical thoughts in the book Dgongs pa rab gsal,underscoring the theoretical meaning as well as pointing out its influence on Tibetan Buddhism.The author of the paper took this discussed the comprehensiveness,completeness and profundity of master Tsong—Kha—pa's Madhyamika philosophy.
