A Study Of Intertextuality In White Deer Plain Under Paratext Perspective

With the development of research hotspot of White Deer Plain,but the paratext,as an important reference for entering the text of White Deer Plain,just received scattered researches.A Study of Intertextuality in White Deer Plain under Paratext Perspective attempts to start with the viewpoint of paratext and stands on the theory of paratext.By means of interpreting and understanding the creation,and digging into the author’s emotional connotation as well as spiritual discourse,this paper explores the creation,cultural writing,artistic image and language expropriation of White Deer Plain from four aspects,including author’s intention,theme metaphor,character shaping and narrative charm.It aims to deeply excavate the "intertextuality" between paratext and text,so as to uncover the process of generating true text meaning in White Deer Plain.The first chapter is about the discussion of the research theory of "intertextuality" and "paratext".It proves the rationality of intertextuality study under paratext perspective,and defines the paratext of White Deer Plain.The second chapter views the creation of White Deer Plain according to the paratext.Firstly is the formation of desire for creating White Deer Plain in objective world and subjective psychological stimulation.Secondly is Chen Zhongshi’s rational thinking before creation.On this basis,intertextual phenomenon of text and paratext literary ideal of White Deer Plain is studied.The third chapter researches the theme of White Deer Plain based on paratext,including two aspects of cultural root seeking and historical representation.It explores the root-seeking complex of White Deer Plain about national traditions,regional customs and individual life cultures.In view of the autograph in title page of White Deer Plain,the historical consciousness of White Deer Plain is analyzed from the pursuit for truth of secret history and national rising.The fourth chapter is looks into the characters of White Deer Plain based on paratext.By selecting the main characters respectively in paratext,Mr.Zhu is analyzed from perspectives of life prototype,spiritual leaders and "The Theory of Aozi";Bai Jiaxuan is studied from perspectives of creation preparation,"kind and just squire" and "grass-root people";Tian Xiaoe is explored from perspectives of artistic inspiration and "innocent scapegoat";the figures Lu Zilin and Bai Ling are also analyzed although they are rarely involved in the text.The fifth chapter focuses on the intertextual relationship of language acquisition in White Deer Plain according to the paratext.Based on the realistic creation of this work,the unique expression of White Deer Plain is analyzed from the visualized narration and GuanZhong dialect.The conclusion discusses the positive effect of paratext of White Deer Plain in generating and constructing text,and then extends to the enlightenment of paratext to the study of modern literature.
