The Research On Koguryo Mountain City-sites' Defense System In China

The activity places in the early period of Koguryo regime were Yalu River middle reaches.Then,the territory enlarged.North was to Songhua River,east and south were to Korean peninsula,and west is to Bohai Gulf and occupied liaotung peninsula.With the expansion of the military area of Kofuryo constantly,the mountain city formed the main defense system of Koguryo.The aim of the thesis is to tease the mountain cities about Liaoning Province and Jilin Province and analyze the formation of the defense system about mountain cities about Koguryo.The introduction introduces the reasons and meanings of the thesis,the existing research findings and the research significance about the thesis.There are three parts of the main body of the thesis.The first part is about the classification and introduction.Firstly,the author classifies the mountain cities about Koguryo according to the construction method,the topography,the scale,the function and the terrain and teases the classification about the mountain cities about Koguryo from academia.According to the classification of scholars,the mountain cities about Koguryo referred in China are classified with perimeter.Secondly,the author chooses the typical mountain cities to introduce because there are plenty of mountain cities in Liaoning Province and Jilin Province.Last,the author teases the archaeological site of mountain cities about Koguryo in two provinces according to the existing archaeological information and analyzes environmental condition and defense facility of the typical mountain cities.The second part is to analyze the age of mountain cities according to ancient writings,the remains of mountain cities,structure of tombs around mountain cities and unearthed cultural relics.The mountain cities are divided into four periods in the thesis.The third part is to embody to location of mountain cities,conclude the military defense of mountain cities about Koguryo and analyze the military defense system according to historical events and the location of mountain cities and material.The author summarizes the thesis in the epilogue.
