A Study Of The Application Of Text Recitation In English Writing Teaching For Secondary Vocational School Students

In the EFL teaching,writing ability is one of the basic language skills of English learning,which reflects the process how Students to organize ideas and thoughts in English as well as to test the competence of applying English language completely.Hence the study explored the efficiency of traditional and instructing text recitation methods applied in the English writing teaching among the Secondary Vocational School StudentsThe study is on the basis of Krashen‘s input theory and Swain‘s output theory.What‘s more,Constructive theory is used as the bridge of the transfer from language input to language output.The author aimed at exploring the following three questions:1).What is the current situation of Secondary Vocational School Students‘ text recitation?2).Is the text recitation teaching approach helpful in improving Secondary Vocational School Students‘ writing proficiency?3).From what aspects does the text recitation teaching improve Secondary Vocational School Students‘ English writing?The study adopted a questionnaire,two writing tests and an interview.The experiment lasted 10 weeks.108 participants as the subjects of the study were chosen from two parallel teaching classes of Ping Liang Secondary Vocational School in Gansu province.Nursing Class Three(EC)and Nursing Class Four(CC)in 2013 are consisted of 54 students partly.The study concluded that text recitation teaching methods were proved to be inspiring and constructive in English writing teaching,so as to ultimately improve students‘ English writing ability and other aspects of English language competence,such as larger vocabulary,logic organization,completed contents and so on from the experiment conducted in the Experiment Class and Control Class for 10 weeks.The author hope the study can set a solid platform for the competitors of Secondary Vocational School Students on National or Province Vocational English Skills Contest,which can also play an important role in Secondary Vocational School Students‘ Three Vocational Examination College Entrance...
