Under the new-normal-state of economy, the patterns and paths of new-type urbanization in rural areas must take fully account of geographical differentiation.Because of the fragile ecological environment and limited national policies, the space suitable for large-scale development and utilization is little in the mountainous areas, the behavior of residents have special spatial cognition and spatial choice, which affects the multifunctional orientation of rural transformation and the process of new-type urbanization. Therefore,Study on the jobs-housing spatial behavior(JHSB)of rural residents is the scientific base for the appropriate and feasible urbanization and multifunctional rural transformation in mountainous areas. This paper chose the Caiyuan Village in Yiyuan County,Shandong Province as a case,by using the semi-structured interviews and SPSS correlation analysis, the matching features of JHSB of rural residents was investigated and divided into two basic types: jobs-housing coordinated pattern(C)and jobs-housing separated pattern(S),and the influence of economy and resident's characteristics on JHSB and the evolution were analyzed.Hoping to provide reference for improving the livelihood of the villagers in poverty-stricken mountainous areas, guiding the transformation of multifunctional rural, and reforming agricultural policies. This paper is divided into six parts. The first part is the introduction, which introduces the research background and significance of this paper, the review of relevant research at domestic and foreign, the research content and innovation, the research methods and technical routes. The second part is related concepts and basic theories.First of all,it defines the jobs-housing spatial behavior, expounds the connotation of new urbanization,jobs-housing spatial behavior transformation and multifunctional rural transformation.Secondly,it summarizes the basic theories of this study. The third part is the groups of jobs-housing spatial behavior in Caiyuan village.Firstly,it introduces the general situation of the study area and the basic situation of the survey sample. Then, the matching features of JHSB of rural residents is divided into two categories and four sub-categories,based on the field survey. Finally, the characteristics of different matching features of JHSB are discussed. The fourth part analyzes the evolution of matching behavior in the case of village.First of all,it analyzes the evolution characteristics of the matching features of JHSB from 2006 to 2016;Secondly,it studies the driving force to promote the evolution of the matching features of JHSB,from the macro and micro factors. Finally, using SPSS correlation analysis tools,it makes a bivariate correlation analysis between jobs-housing spatial behavior patterns and resident's characteristics. The fifth part analyzes the problems and solutions of JHSB.The sixth part summarizes the main contents of the full text, and put forward relevant suggestions for each mode. The results showed that:(1)As a key area of the “small third-line construction”,the non-agricultural industries in the case study area and village have either weakened or moved out since the last decades. The labor intensity and planting area of economic crops also decreased obviously. The importance of agricultural production and employment functions in rural areas had gradually decreased.Jobs-housing coordinated pattern declined, and, the degree and tendency of jobs-housing separation were deepening.Put simply, the base and preconditions of in situ urbanization were less-developed.(2)At the same time, macroscopic and microscopic factors would promote the evolution of matching pattern of villagers. The choice of jobs-housing spatial behavior was also influenced by gender, age, population quality, and so on.The influence of gender weakened, but the ratio of male who lived and worked in cities was still higher than that of the female. The younger rural residents(at least 18 years old)presented more urban coordinated JHSB,whereas the aged rural residents presented more rural coordinated JHSB,while the ratio of jobs-housing separation was higher for rural residents in middle ages. The influence of education level on JHSB was similar to age,the higher the level of education of villagers presented more urban coordinated JHSB,whereas which presented more rural coordinated JHSB,while the ratio of jobs-housing separation was higher for rural residents in middle education level;and the rural residents who had professional skills incline to live and work outside the village.
