Mr.Yin Shoushi is a famous painter and calligrapher in China.He is the founder of Inner Mongolia Fine Arts.He is a deeply patriotic artist who grew up with the blaze of the Anti-Japanese War.His road of art has always followed the rhythm of the times and created a large number of paintings throughout his life,including figure paintings,historical paintings,new-year paintings,and calligraphy.Yin Shoushi was born in Yixing City,Jiangsu Province.In 1940,when he was a researcher at the Guangxi Provincial Museum of Art,he was fortunate enough to get acquainted with many celebrities in the cultural world.He was honored by his predecessors.He had twice held personal exhibitions in Guilin.In 1944,the Japanese invaded and occupied Hunan and Guangxi,and Yin Shiyi turned to Chongqing.During the KMT-CPC peace talks,he painted portraits for Chairman Mao and later exhibited in the exhibition “Liu Shi Yin Painting Joint Exhibition” with poet Liu Yazi.From 1946 to 1957,Yin Shoushi lived and worked in Inner Mongolia for 11 years.Under hisleadership,the fine arts in Inner Mongolia developed rapidly from scratch.He made great contributions to the creation of Inner Mongolia's fine arts and to the training of ethnic artists.This article comprehensively reviews the life course and artistic creation of Mr.Yin Shoushi,and through his in-depth study,sums up his artistic creation achievements and his outstanding contribution to the national arts cause in China.
