The Research About The Figure Of "Pictorial Turn" In Contemporary Chinese Oil Painting

In the history of Chinese and western art,it can be found that there exists an inseparable relationship between the image and the creation of human art(The image in that context refers to the pattern created by stone implements and engraved and painted by the human ancestors in a straightforward and antiquated way).The image inspires the artistic creation in the process of painting,and provides the necessary material for the artistic creation,which plays an important role in the development of art.From the perspective of the development of contemporary society,"pictorial turn" has become a cultural phenomenon and deeply influenced people's life.Concerning about the standpoint of contemporary art,art in various forms is always closely with contemporary social interaction,therefore,"pictorial turn" of Chinese contemporary art appears in the contemporary art is inevitable.Compared with traditional art,the trend of "pictorial turn" is one of the basic characteristics of contemporary art.As a significant media form of communication in this current society,image presenting a vivid,intuitional and visual modeling language in people's horizons.Using images to create art,has become an important means of art making.The tendency of "pictorial turn" in contemporary Chinese oil painting has enriched the creation form and artistic style of itself.Living conditions of the contemporary art is the determining factor of the figure of "pictorial turn" in oil painting.It can be suggested that contemporary art is the product of digital and electronic era,which cannot develop itself without image.Thus,how to dominate the ubiquitous images and make a choice among them is an issue to be worthy of consideration.For one thing,a research about the figure o "pictorial turn" fin Chinese modern oil painting could explore the relationship between contemporary art and the image;for another,it also could analyze the development clue of Chinese modern oil painting.This paper takes the image era as the background and gives a study of art works which including the characters of "pictorial turn" in Chinese modern oil painting.From ancient times to modern age,it can be seen that portrait occupies a veryimportant place in art history.A fundamental transformation of contemporary Chinese oil painting art is not only about its concept and practice,but also about its vision and picture.This essay is based on the characters of "pictorial turn" in Chinese contemporary oil painting,analyzing century,culture,economy,people's state of mind and a strong local consciousness of painting language and the image characteristics of symbolization since the late 90 s to the early 21 st,considering the deep meaning of the Chinese modern oil painting art from the late 90 s to the beginning of the 21 st century.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter interprets the concepts of "image" and "pictorial turn".The second chapter analyzes and combs the image of the characters in the contemporary Chinese oil painting.The third chapter analyzes the influence of foreign culture on the figure of "pictorial turn" in Chinese contemporary oil painting.The fourth chapter will take the image exhibition at the Shenzhen Art Gallery as a example to give a in-depth study about the figure of "pictorial turn" in contemporary Chinese oil painting.In chapter five,the limitations and existing problems of the "pictorial turn" will be analyzed from the practical point of view.
