The Transmutation Theme Of White Snake And Its Cultural Connotation

The foundation for the birth of literature and its growing prosperity is the need for communication.All literary works are closely related to communication of the certain extent.Literature expresses its own artistic and social values by communication.Through the dissemination of literature,we can understand a certain period of that time such as the consumption of literary works and social attention.The theme of the dissemination of literary works is a synthesis of all forces.In the field of literature,literary works are subject to literary history and literary evaluation.The study of their dissemination is undoubtedly one-sided.In the case of the White Snake,the "subjects" of the texts in each period have a direct relationship with the writers' attitudes and feelings;However,the "dissemination theme" of texts is inextricably linked to the forms of communication,media,and social factors in the objective communication environment.The relationship which was created subjectively by the writer but not controlled unilaterally by the writer was constantly added with new meanings in the process of spreading the white serpent.It reflected the role of guiding and changing of the subject from the objective communication environment and subjective communication factors in the dissemination process..Based on the perspective of communication science,from the different topics of communication the period of transmission of white serpents is divided into four stages.The first stage: Tang and Song dissemination The theme of "Lust Caution" spreads the ideological tendency to "dissuade the world";the second stage: Yuan Ming spread the theme of "Saving Goodness" and spread the ideological tendency of "Citizen Interests" : The third stage: the theme of "True Truth" from the Qing Dynasty.Spreading the ideological tendency of "being sentimental first" : The fourth stage: spreading the subject of "love" in modern and contemporary communication and spreading the ideological tendency to "protect self-worth".From the perspective of subjective and objective communication,it deeply analyzes many factors that influence the transmutation of the theme,including the changes of the times,the more ambiguous communication environment,the changes of the media during each period,the main factors of the literary creation,the factors of the book business artists and the feedback factors of the public.In addition,this article also uses sociological,folkloric and other perspectives to analyze the deep cultural connotations which has caused changes in the theme of communication.
