Objective :(1)Based on the theory of self-determination,this study developed a psychological control scale for college students' parents by means of literature review, interviews and statistical analysis,in order to provide an effective measurement tool for the research in this field.(2)to explore the status of psychological control,self-esteem heterogeneity and rejection sensitivity of college students' parents;(3)to analyze the relationship between parental psychological control,self-esteem heterogeneity and rejection sensitivity and to explore whether the heterogeneity of self-esteem plays an intermediary role between parental psychological control and rejection sensitivity. Methods: firstly, the questionnaire of psychological control of college students' parents was compiled by literature reading,semi-structured interview, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis.Secondly,951 college students from September to December 2017 were tested with self-designed questionnaire on parental psychological control,Rosenberg self-esteem scale,Marlowe-crone social expectation scale, conditional self-esteem scale, unstable self-esteem and personal rejection sensitivity questionnaire. Finally, using SPSS 21.0 and amos 24.0 to analyze and process the data, and construct the structural equation model to explain the relationship between the three variables.Result:(1)the questionnaire establishment of parents' psychological control of college students and its results: the scale of parents' psychological control of college students in this study developed includes father's psychological control and mother's psychological control, which contains 14 items respectively. The component tables are divided into three dimensions,namely,autonomy-oriented,achievement-oriented and dependency-oriented.The reliability and validity test showed that both father and mother had good content validity, structure validity,criterion-related validity and internal consistency reliability.(2)the differences of parents' psychological control,self-esteem heterogeneity and rejection sensitivity among college students: girls' scores of father's psychological control(t=-6.644,p<0.05)and the scores of mother's psychological control(t =-6.327,p < 0.05)and rejection sensitivity(t =-4.602,p < 0.05)were higher than those of boys, while boys' scores of overall self-esteem(t= 2.268,p < 0.05)were higher than those of girls. The scores of father's psychologicalcontrol(t = 3.916,p < 0.05)and mother's psychological control(t = 5.359,p < 0.05)of only child were higher than those of non-only child.there was no significant difference in rejection sensitivity between the two groups.the scores of non-only child's overall self-esteem(t =-7.625,p < 0.05)were higher than that of only child. The scores of father's psychological control(t = 14.463,p < 0.05)and mothers' psychological control(t=13.205,p< 0.05)of urban college students were higher than those of rural college students, and there was no significant difference in total self-esteem and rejection sensitivity between them.Liberal arts students in the father's psychological control score(t =17.40,p < 0.05)and mother's psychological control score(t = 14.20,p < 0.05)were higher than science students, science students in the overall self-esteem score(t=-14.37,p< 0.05)higher than liberal arts students. There was no significant difference in rejection sensitivity between the two groups.(3)the correlation analysis results of parents' psychological control, heterogeneity of self-esteem and rejection sensitivity: parents' psychological control and self-esteem heterogeneity and rejection sensitivity were significantly correlated.Specifically, there was a significant negative correlation between father's psychological control and total self-esteem,and the correlation was higher than that of mother's psychological control. There was a significant positive correlation between father's psychological control, defensive self-esteem,conditional self-esteem and unstable self-esteem,and the correlation was lower than that of mother's psychological control. The correlation between father's psychological control and rejection sensitivity was higher than that of mother's.(4)the regression analysis results of psychological control of college students' parents, heterogeneity of self-esteem and rejection sensitivity: high father's psychological control and high mother's psychological control had significant negative predictive effect on total self-esteem,but had significant positive predictive effect on defensive self-esteem,conditional self-esteem and unstable self-esteem;high father's psychological control and high mother's psychological control had a significant predictive effect on rejection sensitivity.(5)the mediating effects of psychological control of college students' parents, heterogeneity of self-esteem and rejection sensitivity:parental psychological control not only had a direct impact on rejection sensitivity but also had a indirect impact on rejection sensitivity through overall self-esteem,defensive self-esteem and unstable self-esteem.Conclusion:(1)the self-designed parental psychological control scale for college students has good reliability and validity, and the theoretical structure and data fit well.it is an effective tool to measure parental psychological control of college students in China.(2)girls are more likely to be psychological control by their parents and more sensitive to experience rejection than boys.(3)the only child was more likely to be psychological control by their parents and more sensitive to experience rejection than the non-only child.(4)urban college students are more likely to be psychological control by their parents and more sensitive to experience rejection than rural college students.(5)liberal arts students are more likely to be psychological control by their parents and more sensitive to experience rejection than science students.(6)psychological control of college students' parents not only had a direct impact on rejection sensitivity but also had a indirect impact on rejection sensitivity through overall self-esteem,defensive self-esteem and unstable self-esteem.
