As we all know,traditional bullying on campus will seriously harm the physical and mental health of teenagers.With the development of the Internet,there is a new kind of bullying behavior-Cyberbullying.Cyberbullying has a certain concealment,and its harmfulness is not lower than the reality bullying.Starting from the family and individual factors that affect the cyberbullying,this study investigated the relationship among parental psychological control,self-esteem,self-control and cyberbullying in order to provide theoretical support for the prevention of cyberbullying.This study is divided into two parts: in Study 1,the level of parental psychological control,self-esteem,self-control and cyberbullying of 800 adolescents from Grade 7 to Grade12 in Hebei Province were investigated,using Parental Psychological Control Scale,Self-esteem Scale,Middle School students' Self-control Ability Questionnaire and Cyberbullying Questionnaire.SPSS and Process were used to test and analyze the data results.In Study 2,20 students with high scores of cyberbullying in Study 1 were interviewed one-on-one,using self-designed interview outline.Nvivo was used for coding,word frequency analysis and cluster analysis.Based on the two parts of the study,the findings are as follows:1.There were significant differences in gender,grade and other demographic variables between adolescents' parental psychological control,self-esteem,self-control and cyberbullying: the level of father's psychological control,self-esteem and the emotional self-control ability of boys were significantly higher than that of girls;the self-esteem and self-control ability of junior high school students were significantly higher than those of senior high school students,and the self-control ability of senior high school students was the lowest;senior high school students appeared more cyberbullying;the self-control ability of urban teenagers was higher than that of rural teenagers;and the self-control ability of only children was higher than that of non-only children.2.There were significant correlation between parental psychological control,self-esteem,self-control and cyberbullying: father's psychological control was negatively correlated with self-esteem and self-control,and positively correlated with cyberbullying;mother's psychological control was negatively correlated with self-esteem and self-control,and there was a significant positive correlation with cyberbullying.There was a significant positive correlation between self-esteem and self-control,and a significant negative correlation between self-control and cyberbullying;self-control was negatively correlated with cyberbullying.3.Adolescents' self-esteem and behavior self-control played a chain intermediary role between father's psychological control and cyberbullying,while adolescents' self-esteem and thinking self-control played a chain intermediary role between mother's psychological control and cyberbullying.4.The perpetrators of cuberbullying may also be victims,using more verbal attacks,and they had cognitive biases on cyberbullying.In this study,quantitative research and qualitative research were used to explore the specific route between parental psychological control and cyberbullying.The results of the study will enrich the domestic research on cyberbullying of adolescents,and provide some reference suggestions for schools,families and societies to prevent and intervene the cyberbullying of adolescents.
