Intercultural Adaptation Among Zimbabwean Students In Hebei Province

China has become the world's 3~rdd most popular destination of international students who choose to further their studies abroad.Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Zimbabwe and China,there has been a notable increase in the number of Zimbabwean students coming to China.This research is based on the study of Zimbabwean students studying in Hebei Province,focusing on three universities in Hebei Province namely:Shijiazhuang Tie Dao University,Hebei University and Hebei Agriculture University.This research's relevant data was obtained through a questionnaire survey of 59 Zimbabwean students in Hebei Province as well as observing daily life of 16 Zimbabwean students at Hebei University and Hebei Agricultural University.Through this research's chosen intercultural aspects(including social-cultural adaptation,academic adaptation,life adaptation and psychological adaptation),it is discovered that adaptation among Zimbabwean students in Hebei Province was successful?Existing adaptation difficulties arefrom both life adaptation and social-cultural adaptation.Factors that mainly affected their adaptation are personality factors,culture differences and language barrier.In order to overcome and solve their intercultural adaptation problems,this paper have put forward some suggestions.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part introduces the origin of the project,purpose of the study,literature review,concept definition,motivation.The second part explains the research design and research process.Chapter three further analyze the state of intercultural adaptation among Zimbabwean students in Hebei province.The fifth part brings suggestions proposed to deal with the intercultural adaptation problems among Zimbabwean students in Hebei province.I wish this paper can help to improve the intercultural adaptability of Zimbabwean students coming to study at Universities in Hebei Province.
