The rapid development of Chinese economy in recent years impacts continuously substantial increases in the number of foreign students in China.Thailand is one of the countries that has the largest number of student in China.Moreover,the expansion of Thai foreign students' education scale and the growth of cross-cultural communication in China cause a huge number of student have been experiencing cross-cultural problems,which impact their daily lives,their psychological health,their communication and their studies.This study is based on a questionnaire survey and personal interview on Thai foreign students from 9 universities in Shanghai.The purposes of this study are to study the current situation of cross-cultural adaptation of Thai foreign students in Shanghai,to study the existing problems to give effective suggestion in all aspects of the adaptation.This study will use three aspects--social life adaptation,mental adaptation and learning adaptation – including the length of time living in Shanghai,Chinese proficiency,the level of education and individual's personal interview. |
