Demoted Officials has always been a traditional research topic, but in the past academic circles focused more on the study of the Tang and Song dynasties. In the research perspective, the main focus was on political history. The results of research on Demoted Officials of the Ming Dynasty are rare at present, but there are even fewer research findings on Demoted Officials in the Yunnan-Guizhou region. In fact, from the perspective of historical geography,in-depth study of the issue of Demoted Officials in the Yunnan-Guizhou region will be beneficial to the enrichment of academic research. The Yunnan-Guizhou region is located in the southwestern frontier, with economic and cultural lagging behind, providing objective conditions for Demoted Officials.According to the data recorded in the local records, there were 163 Demoted Officials in the Ming and Qing dynasties, including 101 in Yunnan and 62 in Guizhou. From a time point of view, there were a large number of people who were demobilized during the period of Hongwu,Chenghua, and Jiajing. They were 43,24,and 25 respectively. From a spatial point of view, the number of people in the Fuzhou county in Guizhou province and Yunnan province was the most declining, accounting for the majority. The ratios were 83.17% and 66.13%,respectively.Through the investigation of the groups of Demoted Officials who have been demoted above,we can see the distribution characteristics of several groups.Firstly, the geographical distribution characteristics of the population mainly in the Guizhou region are mainly distributed linearly on both sides of the ramp, while the Yunnan region is mainly concentrated in the economically and culturally developed regions in the central and eastern regions.Secondly, the characteristics of group origin distribution are mainly manifested in the early Ming Dynasty. The number of scholars is more than the number of scholars, and from the orthodox period, the number of scholars from Jinshi began to exceed the number of non-chinese scholars;Thirdly, the distribution characteristics of group posts mainly in two aspects,on the one hand, central officials outnumber local officials;on the other hand, the officials of ke and dao outnumber other types of officials.Fourthly, judging from the characteristics of the distribution on the group of Demoted Officials, the distribution of the origin of Demoted Officials has a close relationship with the regional economic and cultural conditions in the Ming Dynasty.Fifthly, the distribution characteristics of Demoted Officials trend are mainly attributed to promotion recall.Through the investigation of the distribution characteristics of Demoted Officials in the Yunnan-Guizhou region,it can be seen that their impact on the Yunnan-Guizhou region is mainly manifested in three aspects of visiting and giving lectures, promoting education and custom, persuading farmers to benefit from business, benefiting from demerits, building a city to build a project, protecting the environment and supporting the people.aspect.Through the study on the distribution characteristics and its influence of Demoted Officials not only contributes to enriching the relevant research results of the academic community, but also helps to excavate the flow of depreciation culture from a practical perspective, and provides a useful reference for the current cultural and tourism undertakings of the Yunnan and Guizhou provinces.
