Attentional Bias(AB)is that relative to neutral stimuli, individuals show different attention allocation to corresponding threats or related stimuli. It has been linked to a cascade of information processing biases and behavior underlying the development and maintenance of multiple forms of psychopathology and addiction. In the field of substance addiction, attentional bias is defined as drug related cues, which is more likely to get the attention of drug addicts. It is one of the core characteristics of drug addiction, and has important links with drug dependence and relapse. At present, there are many controversies about the nature and operation of attentional bias.No matter attentional bias or the attentional bias of substance addicts, the research results are quite unstable and inconsistent. Therefore,Zvielli et al.(2014)propose the Temporal Dynamics of Attentional Bias, and a relatively consistent research result is obtained. This study employed Temporal Dynamics of Attentional Bias and its trial-level bias score(TL-BS)calculation method to research the attentional bias of female abstinent drug users to drug-related cues stimulation. The current study includes three experiments. In Experiment 1,using dot probe task to measure the attentional bias of female abstinent drug users to drug-related cues stimulation,The Desires for Drug Questionnaire(DDQ),State Anxiety Inventory(SAI)to test the drug craving and anxiety level, test the split half reliability and validity of TL-BS.In Experiment 2,using dot probe task tow times to measure the attentional bias of female abstinent drug users to drug-related cues stimulation, and test the retest reliability of TL-BS.In Experiment 3,using the two research paradigms of dot probe task and addiction Stroop task to measure the attentional bias of female abstinent drug users to drug-related cues stimulation, and study the stability of TL-BS in different attentional bias research paradigms.Experiment 1 found that the attention bias of female abstinent drug users is not stable but varies with time of bias and avoidance of drug cue;the trial level of attentional bias were significantly correlated between each other;between the dot probe task half of trails TL-BS were significantly correlated;TL-BS and drug craving questionnaire(DDQ),state anxiety questionnaire(SAI)were significantly correlated.Experiment 2 found that TL-BS between twice measurements were significantly correlated.Experiment 3 found that TL-BS had a significant correlation between the dot probe paradigm and the addictive Stroop paradigm;TL-BS had larger amplitudes in the addictive Stroop paradigm.Significant correlation was found in the TL-BS method, but not in the traditional attention bias calculation method. The results of this study enlighten and explain the current inconsistent and unstable research results in AB,and provide support for further study of drug addiction psychology. However, this study only preliminarily verified the reliability and validity of TL-BS at the behavioral level, and did not go deep into the specific psychological cognition process represented by each parameter and their relationship with the symptoms of subjects.
