Lexical research is an important aspect of language research.The research of semantic word clusters selects the vocabulary of a certain class to explore some laws of language.This thesis selects the Chinese Wealth Word Clusters as the object,carries out the literature research on the ancient monosyllable wealth words and combs the meanings,finds out the core meanings,and combs the meaning extension situation.We analyzed the type of word formation of disyllable wealth words in modern Chinese and made quantitative statistics.In the end,it summarized the cognitive psychology and cultural characteristics of the Chinese nation reflected in the Wealth Word Clusters.The full text is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is the introduction.It introduces the current situation of the study of Chinese Word Clusters and Chinese Wealth Word Clusters.It also explains the value of word clusters research and Chinese Wealth Word Clusters research,and illustrates the research ideas and source of corpus.The second chapter is the study of monosyllable wealth words in the “Bei” family.Selecting corpus from the “Bei” family <Shuowen> researched the meanings of 55 monosyllable wealth words,combed the relationships among various meanings,and drew a map of mind for words with complex meanings and numerous items of meaning.The third chapter is the study of monosyllable wealth words other than the “Bei” family.We collected 39 monosyllable wealth words outside the “Bei” family and the research steps are same as in Chapter 2.In the last section of this chapter,the semantic categories of the monosyllable wealth words of chapters two and three are summarized.The fourth chapter is the study of the modern disyllable wealth words.The monosyllable wealth words in the second and third chapters,which are still word-building vitality,are called wealth roots.The disyllable wealth words constructed as a morpheme in the wealth root is the object of study in this chapter.These words are formed through compound word formation.We have conducted structural type analysis and quantitative statistics.In terms of compound word structure types,the modifier-center words accounted for 56%,and the sum of the subject-predicate words and supplemental words was less than 2%.The wealth roots of the name category are often used as post morphemes in the verb-object disyllable wealth words;the wealth roots of the action category are often used as front morphemes in the verb-object two-syllable wealth words.The fifth chapter is the study of cultural implications of the wealth word clusters.The wealth word clusters reflect all aspects of ancient life,and the ancient Chinese life presents a perfect ritual system.The wealth word clusters also reflect that the Han nationality uses metaphor,metonymy,and other cognitive methods to be the same with other nationalities,and reveals the Han nationality's distinctive cultural ideas such as "positive and negative transformation,oppositeness,unity of opposites," and "unification and unity."The sixth chapter is the conclusion.This chapter briefly summarizes the conclusions of this article and explains the deficiencies.
