The application of mind map in teaching begins in 1960 s.Because of the logic The research on the application of mind map in teaching is mostly concentrated in the logical subjects such as mathematics,chemistry and biology.In recent years,mindmap has been widely used in Chinese teaching and English teaching,but compared with the application of mind map in Chinese teaching and English teaching,the application of mind map in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language is very few.Language is the outward expression of thinking.Learning a new language and building a new language system is actually to cultivate a way of thinking about this language.And reading teaching is an important way for learners to accumulate knowledge and study Chinese.The learners acquire information through reading and grasp the thinking characteristics of Chinese to improving the learners' reading ability.According to the students' situation in Chinese reading class in Indonesia Bunda Mulia University and their learning environment and methods.I try to use the mind map method in the reading class.I hope to improving the current situation of the students' reading course.Then I investigated the students' acceptance and influence on the teaching method.According to the practice of the mind map in the teaching of Chinese reading,find out the problems,solve the problems,and improve the application of the mind map in the reading teaching in Chinese as a foreign language.This article has seven parts.The first part is the introduction,which mainly introduces the research background,research methods,significance of the topic and the related research on the application of mind map in teaching.The development of mind map has been especially rapid in recent years.Because of the logic and image nature of the mind map,the mind map is widely used in teaching,but the research on the application of the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language is less.The second part mainly introduces the related concepts and theoretical principles of mind mapping.Mind map is generated by human brain as a model.It is different from concept map.The drawing of mind map emphasizes central prominence and uses colors and lines.The third part mainly explains the applicability of mind map in reading teaching from the essence of reading and the characteristics of mind map.The fourth part mainly introduces the practice process of mind map in reading teaching classroom.The fifth part introduces the teaching effect of mind map applied in reading teaching.The sixth part introduces the questions and suggestions about mindmap which is used in teaching.The seven part is the epilogue.According to our classroom practice,we can draw the conclusion that mind map can be applied to reading teaching in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.It is a good choice to reduce the difficult about learning Chinese reading and during the practice to express the reading ability,a very important ability in daily life.According to the practice teaching.I found that the mind map can be used not only in Chinese but also in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.During my practice teaching,I get three methods about drawing a mind map.Teacher draws the body and the students finish it.That is teacher finish the structure and students finish the concept.They paint together in class.The students finish it by themselves,then amend with teacher.The application of mind map in Chinese reading practice the students' abilities in extracting information,generalizing,summarizing and understanding.It is to improve the reading ability.
