The “Pavilion Prose”is an article that records pavilions built by private or official owners of Song Dynasty.This so-called “Pavilion Notes”is part of Tai Ge of Interest which belongs to Miscellanea.It's also a kind of literary form greatly promoted by classical scholars of the Ancient Prose Movement in Tang & Song Dynasties.Tang Dynasty is a period of Building Prose,marked by Pavilion Prose which had already appeared but not well prospered.Into Song Dynasty,the ruler carried out “Rightward Phonetic Symbol”policy.Owing to the higheducational level of literati,economic prosperity and the wind of literary creation,this type of literary form had gradually developed and strengthened.This text is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is introduction,separately discussing the research motivation and purpose of this text as well as research status and method.This second chapter is about the summary of the Pavilion Prose of Song Dynasty,respectively narrating the definition,retention and classification of the Pavilion Prose,combing the development status of “Narrative Writing Style”.From Tang Dynasty to Song Dynasty,the stylistic features started to show a new look,changing from single narration to narration interspersed with comments finally ending up with reasoning instrumental style of Song people.In the process of the development of pavilion,there were clear differences referring to buildings.When taking Pavilion Prose as research object,its concept should be clarified.The retention mode of Pavilion Prose is mainly stone engraving and booking writing.The division of its content and nature is based on the function of pavilion categorized as the religious,cultural,ritual and landscape type.The third chapter probes into the content and thought of Pavilion Prose including creative analysis,content analysis and the connection with the times.Starting from the analysis of the main body of the creation of pavilion prose and the purpose of its creation,there will be a better understanding of the contents of pavilion prose for readers.The narration center of pavilion prose is on pavilions.It lays emphasis on three aspects: the direct relation to pavilions,indirect relation to pavilions and the perceptions of its author.Pavilions are closely related to the life of Song people.The contents of pavilions also reflect the culture of the Song Dynasty.The four emphases on the transformation of the relationship between culture and Taoism,the tradition of pavilion climbing,the confluence of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism,and the atmosphere of worship of learning in the Song Dynasty try to explain the relationship between the contents of pavilions and the connection with the times.The fourth chapter mainly studies the writing skills of the pavilion prose containing three parts:the structure and style of writing,lyricism and discussion and taking Fu as a text.The people of Song Dynasty pay attention to the conception of writing.Although the pavilion prose is mainly about the narration of pavilions,the Song people collected the narration and reasoning in this kind of notes.The quality of the conception of writing is directly related to the success of the writing.Furthermore,there are also a variety of artistic styles in writing coming into being.The Song people wrote pavilion prose,which were called variants.The reason is that there is a lyricism or discussion in the text.This section investigates the lyricism and comments on pavilions.The pavilion prose is taking Fu as a text.For the literary subject,the pavilions have become the subject of writing.In terms of language and artistic skills,there are a great many of common traces.
