Based on the cosideration of “How to realize the sustainablity of the intangible cultural heritage in comtempary society”,this paper studys the case of Daoming Bamboo Crafts in western Sichuan,one of the state-level intangible cultural heritage,by gathering the first-hand data and making data compilation to investage and reflect the“social fact”.This paper aims to explore the possibility and practical approach of non-hereditary sustainable development in China's social transition in context of history and geography.This stduy includes five chapters.The first chapter gives a brief introduction to this study,includeing the bringing-up of this study,literature review and research design.Chapter Two is the case study of Daoming Bamboo Crafts in western Sichuan,generally overviewing its historial and heritage development,giving detailed account of its funtional classificaiton,handicrft characters,souting out its historical vicissitudes and inheriance staus quo.The third chapter analyzes its internal logicality of the sustainable inheritance of intangible cultural heritage,where it is regarded as a kind of floating social memory in the context of history.This chapter,from the point of social memory by Paul Connertonth,analyzes how the social memory uses the participation of physical practice and the practice of ritualization to embody its social emotion and nostagia,which provides the impetus for the inheritance of intangible cultural heritage.The fourth chapter is the analysis of the social reality factors of intangible cultural heritage inheritance in the context of geography.This chapter applys the embedding concept of American sociologist Granovetter to the field of cultural research,futher discusses its changes involed in the nation,sciety and maket changes,and how it takes root in social development,becomes the bond of emotional connection and spiritual refuge to meet our daily needs.The fifth chapter comes to the conclusion through the summary mentioned above,through which it is easy to find out the Daoming Bamboo Crafts developes in the flow of history and space,and we can draw lessons from its sussessful development thoughthere are many cultural contradicions of adaptability and conflicts.In that basis,this study suggests that the flow of inheritance is the essential way to realize the sustainable development of intangible cultural heritage,whose concrete essence includes the following three aspects: first,forward developing without any stops;second,retaining the core elements;third,reconstructing and embodying the nature.
