A Study On The Phonology Of Zuoyun Dialect

Zuoyun county,also known as the Lying cow city,is located in the north of Shanxi Province,which is affiliated to Datong city.Zuoyun dialect belongs to the Jin language of Datong and Baotou.In this paper,the speech of Zuoyun dialect is taken as the research object.Through field investigation,synchronic and diachronic combination,statistical method and other methods,the paper tries to record the speech system of Zuoyun dialect completely and truly to describe and analysis some phonetic phenomena in Zuoyun dialect,to fill the gaps in the study of left cloud dialect.The paper mainly has the following five parts:Chapter one: introduction.This Chapter introduces the basic situation of geographical population,historical evolution and internal division of Zuoyun County.It also summarizes the research status at home and abroad,purpose,significance,methods and the pronunciation partners and phonetic symbols.Chapter Two: Zuoyun dialect system.This part firstly describes the consonant including initial consonants(20),vowel(35),tone(5)and the coordination relationship of the consonants of Zuoyun dialect.Secondly,this paper analyzes the two kinds of phonetic changes of the dialect and the melody in Zuo Yun dialect.Mainly on non-overlapping word and cross-word combination of the two groups of tone-readings were specifically analyzed to discuss,in addition to Juan Tongue vowel,the Zuoyun dialect 34 other basic finals can be retroflexed,merged into 16 retroflex final.Again,comparing the Zuo Yun dialect with the surrounding dialects of Datong,Youyu and Hohhot,it is found that the dialect of Zuo Yun dialect retains the features of Jin dialect more clearly than dialects of several other areas.Finally,comparing the Zuo Yun dialect with Putonghua,there is no tongue after the tip of the tongue in the initials of Zuoyun dialect,the commonly used [n] as the initial inscription,the [v] initial consonant,and the vowels decreased obviously.Compared with Putonghua,level tone,rising tone,the rising tone and falling tone,basically one-to-one correspondence,only the tone value is different.Chapter three: the phonetic history of Zuoyun dialect.This part firstly compares the dialect of Zuoyun with the middle phonetic system and Datong dialect(no tone)in the 20 th century recorded by Karlgren,KlasBernhardJohannes in the study of Chinese phonologyfrom form three aspects of consonant,vowel and tone,and finds out the basiccorrespondence rules between two dialect.Secondly,the Zuoyun dialect of rusheng shuhua and shortness of the level tone change phenomena are studied,enumerate completely shuhua and rapid speak word of dialect and the two word reading,the characteristics,reasons and so on has carried on the simple analysis.Chapter Four: homophone.List monosyllabic words in Zuoyun dialect.The voice analysis is based on this.Chapter five: Summarizing the characteristics of the voice of Zuoyun Dialect.
