| Along with the birth of artists,improvement of the public aesthetic and the diversity of modern space environment,ceramic gradually gets rid of the oneness of practicability and ornamental value,becoming art works with unique cultural value.It consists of shape and pattern.The research topic is the design and application research of traditional plant patterns in modern porcelain.Traditional plant patterns and modern porcelain are used as primary issues,focusing on solving the problem of design rules.The research is divided into five parts.Firstly ascertain the research height to be reached.Chapter 2 studies shape modelling characteristics of the traditional ceramic products and their plant decorative patterns.The former makes a general survey of the shapes of traditional ceramic products through the oldest blue and white porcelain.The latter compares the characteristics of patterns through decorating techniques of three main products blue-and-white,five-color and fen-color.Form picture layout principles of plant patterns in traditional shapes are summarized and determined in Chapter 3 through modern design methods.Comparative research method is adopted in Chapter 4 to illustrate the characteristics of realism,concretization and regularity of traditional plant patterns and its particularity and innovation way applied in irregular shapes from three aspects of “shape and form,technology and change of public's taste”.Chapter 5 is the summarization of the research of the first four chapters.The research involves industrial design,graphic design and application of space etc.The author focuses the research emphasis on all aspects of the coexistence of pattern and shape.Shape is not apart from decoration.Tradition is not completely on innovation but finding a balance.Aesthetic inclusiveness is applied accurately to summarize the updates of traditional patterns modern porcelain wares,playing the social function of ceramic products perfectly. |
