Study On Cai Hesen's Historical Thought

Cai Hesen is an important founder and early leader of Chinese Communist Party,outstanding Marxist theorist,propagandist and social activist,and also one of the founders of Chinese Marxist historical theory.He uses historical materialism to analysis the rule of Chinese social development and Chinese revolution of modern history and study the history of Chinese Communist Party since it founded,leaving a large number of historical theory results.Exploring his historical thoughts and his historical status must promote a further research of Cai Hesen's thoughts as well as contemporary historical thought especially the research of history of Chinese Communist Party.Cai Hesen's historical thought is generally divided into three processes.Early school age is the sprouting age of his historical thoughts.The period of arriving in Beijing and work-study in France is his initial formation age of his Marxist historical thoughts.Using historical materialism to analysis Chinese history and social phenomenons when he returned is the maturity period of his Marxist historical thoughts.The development of Cai Hesen's historical thought is impacted by traditional historical thoughts,Hunan culture and Cai Hesen's unique upbringing.The content of Cai Hesen's historical thought has three aspects,including the views of social development,Chinese revolutionary history and the history of Chinese Communist Party.In the view of social development,it includes Cai Hesen's expound of the rule of historical development,social development power and his evaluation of heroes' effects in historical development;In the view of revolutionary history,it includes Cai Hesen's commentary of Old Democratic Revolution events such as Taiping Movement and Xinhai Revolution,thoughts of the objects and properties,road and prerequisites,hegemony and tactics of New Democratic Revolution and it makes a special study on Cai Hesen's thoughts of armed struggle and worker-peasant movement;In the view of history of Chinese Communist Party,it focuses on Cai Hesen's thoughts of historical necessity and mission of establishment of proletarian parties,objects and methods of research of history of Chinese Communist Party,and history of inner-party struggle of Chinese Communist Party especially its opportunism history.Same with Li Dazhao,Cai Hesen is one of the founders of Marxist historical theory.His outstanding theoretical contribution in historiography is that he expounds and spreads the views of Marxist historical materialism,starts a unique historiography subject and promotes the transformation and development of modern Chinese historical thoughts.
