Research On Humanitarianism In Camus' Works

Camus is one of the outstanding personages who profoundly expose absurdity.“Absurdity”and "revolt”is a pair of core concepts in Camus 'writings.Camus started from absurd in his philosophy,with revolt as the core.He started from the faith of absurd to discuss humans' living issues and illustrate his special views on humans' living and value.Camus' thoughts of absurdity are sparkling with humanism.His works describes the dilemma that modem people encounter,and more than that,he brings a way of protest to them of how to exist in the world of absurdity,which is active participation,encouraging people put emphasis on the reality,embracing life and realizing the value and dignity of human,treating human being as the measurement of everything and human nature as the principle of judging right or wrong,and thus bring hope to the after-war generation who lived in a world of darkness with no light seen.This article is composed of three parts: introduction,text(1-3 chapters),conclusion and so on.The introduction part introduces the significance of the topic,the status of the research and the research methods.In the first chapter,the historical background of the formation of Camus' humanitarianism is discussed.Starting with the western political and economic background from the early twentieth Century to the middle of the twentieth Century,the historical conditions of Camus' philosophical thought are discussed.Then a brief introduction of Camus' growth and ideological origin.The second chapter expounds the formation process of Camus' humanitarianism.Starting from the two concepts of Camus' humanitarian thought,it analyzes the logical development of absurdity to revolt,combined with Camus' literary works.In the third chapter,the essence of Camus' humanitarianism is summarized.Mainly from the point of life and humanity,it emphasizes the limits,moderation and balance,advocating love,beauty and creation,pursuing freedom,justice and harmony and the sparkling humanitarian glory in Camus' political opinions.
