Children are the future of the country,and the growth and development of children are being paid more and more attention.Children's literature and its translation works are becoming more and more important for children.Rick Riordan's The Trials of Apollo 1:The Hidden Oracle is a children to the reader of Greek mythology as the prototype of the fantasy novels,Rick Riordan's works have won many awards in America and U.K.,being very popular and representative in the field of children's literature in the west.Based on the importance of the children's literature,this report is an English-Chinese translation report on the first ten chapters of The Trials of Apollo 1: The Hidden Oracle as source text,and analyzed from the three aspects of Nida's Functional Equivalence theory in children's literature translation,which includes three levels: lexical level,syntactic level and stylistic level.Functional Equivalence theory is one of the most representative and applicable translation theories,so Nida's functional equivalence theory plays a guiding role in the translation of children's literary works.This report summarizes and analyzes the translation methods and representative examples of the translation of The Trials of Apollo 1: The Hidden Oracle and from the three levels of functional equivalence theory.For the translation of children's literature,the lexical equivalence can be achieved,using literal translation,transliteration,interpretation,transliteration combined with interpretation,conversion of part of speech;the syntactic level equivalence can be achieved,using cutting,conversion,inversion;and the style equivalence can achieved,using imitation and desalination.The summary of this report is conducive to the translation of children's literary works,and promotes the communication and cultural exchange of Western children's literary works in China.
