Since the 1970 s,the publication of Rawls' Theory of Justice has stimulated feminism's exploration and construction of justice issues. The feminist political philosopher represented by Susan Okin, criticized Rawls,Walzer and others on the theory of justice from the perspective of feminism.Walzer's multi-concept of justice includes the social consensus theory based on social goods and the concept of compound equality based on autonomous control in the field of separation.Social consensus theory emphasizes the theory of justice that is different from traditional political philosophers and justice theory researchers. It comes from the meaning of the social goods themselves, that is,the social consensus reached by the members of the political community, but not from Rawlsianism.Human rights."Self-control in the field of separation" allows certain inequalities within a single field, but the main point is that inequality in one area cannot be translated into inequality in other areas,at least not intensifying inequalities in other areas.Susan Okin sees the feminist potential of his theory of justice in Walzer's concept of compound equality.Walzer's pluralistic justice concept aims at the anti-domination and elimination of monopolies, which coincides with feminist philosophy's pursuit of gender justice and equality, and has become a favorable tool for feminist criticism. At the same time,Susan Okin also pointed out the threats and unfavorable factors of feminism in Walzer's multi-concept of justice. If the political community's justice depends on social consensus, then how does the social consensus itself determine whether it is just and how the social consensus is reached? Susan Okin analyzed the situation with his hierarchy and caste system as reality, and pointed out that there is a fundamental conflict between the "social consensus" of Walzer and the "autonomous control in the field of separation."Walzer gave a partial response to Susan Okin's question.Walzer's response is not complete, but responds to the definition of the political community and the understanding of the social consensus. Moreover, due to the departure of Susan Okin, the dispute between Susan Okin and Walzer has not been completed. In the face of Walzer's clarification and response,Susan Okin's previous criticism still has feminist theoretical strength. In this debate,Susan Aukin provided a critical perspective of feminism for the development of justice theory, enriching the development of justice theory.
