Chinese culture is very broad and profound,interesting but complicated.Many people wish to know and understand about Chinese culture but because of some misunderstanding and cultural difference some they give up and can never have a chance to know much about it.There is a special view about the image of the dragon in the Chinese people’s lives and this image also have a great influence in many other cultures of the world including Zimbabwe.The image of the dragon has been an issue of debate in the Zimbabwean culture whereby many people have mixed feelings about this dragon.Due to the inflow of the Chinese people in Zimbabwe for business and travel and also the Zimbabweans going to China for academic purposes it has now become of necessity to clear up the mist in our eyes and the doubt in our heads about the Chinese dragon.In order to promote good intercultural communication it is very crucial to have an understanding of this dragon.Therefore through this paper,the readers can have a deep understanding of the cultural implications of the image of the dragon in China and Zimbabwe,and this can be of great help during the course of learning the language and cultures of the two countries.
