In Chinese and Western Art,the image of dragon has always been an important subject and object of expression that can not be ignored.In the East,the dragon is regarded as the whole body golden soaring nine ancient gods,its appearance often symbolizes auspicious,auspicious,Oriental Dragon Image is the carrier of positive significance.In the West,the dragon is seen as a ferocious monster with vicious claws and claws,killing people wherever it goes.Hibernating for years in the abyss or the sinister forest,it is a synonym for evil spirit and ferocity.It can be said that in the long course of history,the Dragon Image in Chinese and Western art gradually extended two different artistic direction and connotation because of the differences in artistic soil.But these gaps,in recent years leap into the scholar's field of vision rapidly,gradually becomes the topic which can not be ignored.In view of this,this paper,from the perspective of Culturology,combined with the visual works of Fine Arts,analyzes and explains the Dragon Image in Chinese and western Fine Arts and the cultural connotation and differences behind it,and explores its different aesthetic value and artistic value.The full text is divided into the following three parts: the first chapter is mainly from the Chinese and Western folk culture,painting history and crafts in the Dragon to explore the dragonimage in Chinese and Western art.The folk culture is the necessary background to understand the image of dragon in Chinese and Western fine arts,the history of Chinese and Western fine arts is the direct presentation of the image of Dragon,and the Dragon Patterns in arts and crafts further embody the application of the image of Dragon in daily life There is a deeper meaning and cultural connotation behind it.Therefore,from the above three dimensions to explore the image of Chinese and Western Art Dragon,one can not be missing.The second chapter is based on a large number of paintings and arts and crafts,supplemented by some literary works to further explain the cultural connotation and differences behind the image of the Dragon.Chinese dragon culture is usually a godlike auspicious animal,and as a symbol of the feudal monarchy,and gradually developed into the spiritual beliefs and totem of the Chinese nation.Looking back on the Western dragon culture,the symbolic meaning mostly points to death,heresy and evil,the difference between them is the key point of this article.The third chapter will trace to the source,from the cultural origin and religious belief two dimensions to promote the Dragon Image and dragon culture in Chinese and Western fine arts.The Marine civilization gave birth to the Great Western literature.In the early two-greek culture,heroism ran through the social civilization and continues to this day.On the other side of the globe,a land-based civilization gave birth to a verydifferent kind of art.The vast territory and agricultural civilization have made the Chinese people satisfied with the existing stability,the political context of long-term imperial supremacy and the cultural halo of Confucianism and Taoism,which makes the image of the dragon in Chinese fine arts on the one hand a political symbol,on the other hand,it tends to be gentle and auspicious.
