Landscape-Ci,a significant part of Chinese Landscape Literature,originated in Tang Dynasty and prevailed in Song Dynasty.It has unique aesthetic character and cultural character.Many outstanding Landscape-Ci poets emerged in Song Dynasty.Among them,the most excellent poets are the four disciples of Su Shi(including Huang Tingjian,Chao Buzhi,Qin Guan and Zhang Lei),they became the most significant creative group of Landscape-Ci in the middle and later period of Northern Song Dynasty.Their Landscape-Ci not only created special style and features,but also reflected their concept of Landscape-Ci and the fashion of Landscape-Ci at that time.Thus based on the close reading,this thesis will absorb the previous research achievements of Landscape-Ci to show the aesthetic character,artistic style and abundant meanings of Landscape-Ci of Sushi’s four disciples.Furthermore,this thesis will demonstrate the history and influence of Landscape-Ci of Sushi’s four disciples.The current situation of Landscape-Ci research and the importance of the study on Landscape-Ci of the Sushi’s four disciples are sketched in the part of introduction.The main body of this thesis includes four chapters.First chapter presents clean and elegant features of Landscape-Ci of the four scholars which are based on the artistic style of Landscape-Ci of Su’s four disciples.It analyses the causes of “Qing”and “Ya” style.Besides,it also analyses the difference and special style of each members’ Landscape-Ci;In chapter two,the artistic methods of Landscape-Ci of the Sushi’s four disciples are discussed.Sushi’s four students always adopt two methods including creating environment with landscape and connecting emotion withlandscape to improve the artistic expression when they created Landscape-Ci.Supported by the aspect of philosophy,the third chapter demonstrates how Confucianism,Taoism and Buddhism are reflected in Landscape-Ci of the Sushi’s four disciples.In chapter four reveals active contributions and importance of the help offered by this group on developing traditional Landscape-Ci,changing style of Landscape-Ci and practicing the concept of “taking poems as Ci-poems”.
