Research Of Gamelan Teaching And Promotion At Guangxi Arts University

Gamelan is a treasure of traditional Indonesian culture.As one of the traditional Indonesian musical instruments,there are a large number of learners and performers in Indonesia.The author used the action research method in the actual teaching of the Art Institute of Guangxi Arts University,not only observed and reflected on his own teaching,but also studied the students’ teaching methods of learning Gamelan in a short time.The method theory of forming a simple teaching method using Gamelan oral instruction method was proposed.The article introduces such as Sunda Gamelan,Java Gamelan,Bali Gamelan and Minang Gamelan,and introduces their modes and playing techniques.In Indonesia,these are representative Gamelan.This article attempts to explore and discuss Gamelan’s dissemination and promotion in China through his studies and Gamelan teaching in China for making more fans understanding and learn Gamelan.
