Since 2008,the number of people graduated from vocational schools has grown rapidly in China,and people graduated from secondary and higher vocational schools have accounted for half of the total graduated from secondary vocational schools and ordinary colleges.Mr.Huang Yanpei once said that the purpose of vocational education is listed as below: First,it is to seek the development of individuality;The second it helps to make a living for the individual;The third is to serve the society;Fourth,it contributes to the development of productivity of the country and the world.Vocational education is a strategic plan for national development,competitiveness and productivity.National medium and long-term educational reform and development program(2010-2020),released by the Ministry of Education,pointed out that promoting the development of secondary vocational schools and students in the vocational schools is available to the higher learning institutions as the ordinary high schools.It pushes forward the development of vocational studies.As for the music major which enjoys higher graduation rates,their professional education nature should draw the attention of people.From the current secondary vocational music professional education,there are problems in the curriculum,school conditions and teaching.These problems seriously affect the development of music major.Music is not paid much attention in secondary vocational schools.There are many problems in the development of specific professional,such as the dual natures of the training goal.On the one hand,secondary vocational music training aims to develop the elementary music skills for talents.On the other hand it train qualified music specialists for colleges and universities.It needs to figure out how to alleviate the contradiction between employment and enrollment for schools,safeguarding secondary vocational schools music development.Due to factors such as teaching scale,geographical issues,the allocation of resources is not balanced for secondary vocational schools.The condition for some schools is poor.How to improve the learning environment is also a problem urgently to be addressed for music major at secondary vocational schools.The paper is divided into five parts,analyzing the Music Major in Four Secondary Vocational Schools at Jiaozuo.The first part is introduction which introduces the background,purpose,meaning of the paper,literature review,objectives,and methods.The second part describes the situation of music major in Four Secondary Vocational Schools at Jiaozuo,investigating the teaching situation by viewing,questionnaires and internet searching.The third part analyzes and studies the situation of these four schools,summarizing the main problems.The fourth part provides some methods to address the issues faced by these four schools at Jiaozuo.After analyzing and studying the situation,it puts forward useful methods and advices including improving the teaching condition,innovating the teaching methods,and creating scientific evaluations,which aims to provide some advice for these four schools.Finally,the fifth part makes a conclusion of the paper,delivering a summary and outlook for the Music Major in Four Secondary Vocational Schools at Jiaozuo.
