The purpose of this paper is to examine the influence of in the international landscape after the Iranian Islamic revolution.Iran is the largest country in the Persian Gulf,no matter hard power or soft power.But the foreign powers intervened deeply,collective security system by the Gulf Cooperation Council and Saudi Arabia's influence in the Islamic world,what forced Iran can't act in an arbitrary and reckless manner in the Persian Gulf,Only starts game under the strategy of cooperation and peace.While Iran depends on its geographical advantage,comprehensive national strength and Shiite influence,fully demonstrated its unique position in the Persian Gulf and the role of regional power.In the greater Middle East,although Iran still play a role in the region,who depend on its special geographical location,strong religious influence and strong military presence.But different from its strategic Persian Gulf,Iran strengthen contact with Syria and Hamas,Hezbollah and Iraq's shi'as and so forth "agent" in the Middle East,exert its influence the ability of the Middle East.In order to improve its regional position,obtaining regional clout.But it is also publicly accused by Arab and western powers.In Eurasia,Iran focuses on developing relations with Russia,China and the European Union.It is worth noting that,while Iran is not dominant in Eurasia,Iran shares a common strategic interest with these countries.For Iran,during the post-cold war era,Russia and Iran are no longer neighbors that eliminates Iran's potential security risks and real threats.Iran urgently needs economic reform and finished national reconstruction after the Iran-Iraq war,so it requires the investment and technology of EU.Iran has actively developed economic and trade relations with Russia and China to counter the negative impact of U.S.financial sanctions.Meanwhile,Iran is an important energy supplier to China and the EU,as well as an important supplier of arms to Russia.But most importantly,Iran is a member of the anti-American faction.Its anti-American actions get Russia support,and to some extent also ease China faces of American political and economic pressure.Therefore,they are mutually complementary,mutual influence,indispensable relationship.Finally,although Iran is not at the core of international affairs,it is still an indispensable part of international affairs due to itsspecial geographical advantages and religious influence.It has an irreplaceable role in maintaining world nuclear non-proliferation and in international counter-terrorism and combating transnational crime.
