For a long time,the research on Satiagit Rey has shown a kind of study of the film text form and the empty nature of the study of the works other than "The Apu Trilogy"."The Calcutta Trilogy",as the masterpiece of Ray,is the stage-benchmarking work of Ray in the direction of "City Search",which is also the embodiment of the style and maturity of the author.Unlike the poetic and tranquil style of the early classic "ARP Trilogy",as a node of the previous medium-term creation of the Ray film,almost all of the films since the "Calcutta Trilogy" reflect the social life of Indian cities,and its image aesthetics is gradually moving towards the style of "black movies" similar to those of American the 1940 s.And in the pursuit of value and spirit from the suffering of the pursuit of hope and ideals,to the city and modern civilization,the theme of optimism into the "new City of Indians moral and spiritual collapse",the film has a kind of Inescapable anxiety and repression of emotion,forming a kind of narrative with the characteristics of anxiety.In the Calcutta trilogy,through three aspects of betting mood,Ray constructs an image of the anxiety narrative: first is spatial anxiety,this part we can see Ray in the film narrative "language" on the unique emotional creativity-the United States the 1940 s "black film" of the "limited space" and "tone mood" The expression of the way to misappropriation,the space to suppress,broken,closed characteristics passed out.Second,the individual and gender anxiety,Ray through the life of the new middle class in the city of the Facebook shape,the complexity of the context of the times,the collective anxiety symptoms and individual anxiety to integrate into the typical characters,showing a modern city of India living beings.Finally,he conveyed a kind of anxiety to the whole Indian nation culture and social identity crisis by showing the city society,class group and family in Calcutta.At the same time,through the comparison of urban and rural imagery to form a "cultural nostalgia" value orientation,and then offsetthis anxiety.And this article takes the main proposition of its later creation--"The city explores" the typical text "The Calcutta Trilogy"("Aranyer Din Ratri "(1970)," Seemabaddha"(1971)," Pratidwandi "(1972))as the research object,takes the narration as the angle of view In this paper,the author makes a deep analysis of the anxiety in his film and Ray's own creation,and obtains the imagery feature,the dimension and the historical and cultural symptoms of the anxiety in the film text.
