A Study Of "limited Space" Films

The restriction on “space” is a real challenge for filmmakers,but a great attraction for viewers.Regrettably,however,there are very few researches on the systemic features of the films such as The Message,One Night in Supermarket,The Great Hypnotist,The Insanity of various types produced on the spatial model of“restricted space” in China.A majority of the films relevant with this model are mostly low-budget thrillers or suspense films,for example,Mysterious Island directed by Zhong Jichang,Lost In Panic Room and Lost in Panic Cruise directed by Zhang Panpan.The 2019 commercial film Bodies at Rest,however,only had a low score of 5.3.As the current China's films in the style of “restricted space” have single type and uneven quality,in line with the relevant theories as well as discussion and analysis of the concept,characteristics,spatial model,character relations and other aspects of this type of film,this project is to generalize and summarize the role of the creative model of “restricted space” in film making and films based on this model,exerting positive theoretical effects on the improvement of the researches on films in the style of “restricted space”.
