In 2011,the National Coalition for Core Arts Standards Alliance began to revise the first set of National Standards of Art Education in the United States,moreover,based on the investigation and comparison of the standards of art courses in 15 countries wand the art curriculum standards of various American states,it drew up and then formally issued the National Art Education Standard on its official website in 2004,including the overall design of five subject art courses of "Visual Arts,Music,Dance,Drama and Media Arts".Compared with the National Standard for Art Education issued in 1994,the edition in 2014 targeted for the training of art skills and artistic accomplishments in the 21 st century and conducted an elaboration on the basis of explaining philosophical foundations and lifelong goals.From the curriculum design,the author chose "The Understanding by Design" which was created by two well-known American experts Jay Mc Tighe and Grant Wiggins specialized in contemporary curriculum and teaching theory as the theoretical basis of curriculum standard,emphasizing the theory of "teaching for understanding",and the whole curriculum design was completed with the method of "backwards design",Furthermore,the content of the whole curriculum mainly was unfolded from the General Ideas,the constant understanding and basic issues these perspectives,in this process,the author put forward the Model Cornerstone Assessments,and bought the evaluation factor into the teaching strategy planning,focusing on the comprehension of the art learning process and related performance,in other words,the author paid more attention on evaluation methods combining the procedural assessment and final assessment;the author advocated to take teachers as designers of the curriculum,and encourage them to carry out the best teaching and design,in this way,the learning turned into a proactive exploration,and a enduring understanding and developing process.The paper focused on the 2014 " National Core Art Standards " and "visual art standard",to conduct related explaining and analysis from whole to part,mainly including six chapters.The first chapter was the introduction part,mainly illustrating the origin of research,background,purpose,meaning and current situation of the research;Chapter Two summarized the background,processing,the overall framework and educational philosophy of the 2014 " National Core Art Standards ";Chapter Three and Chapter Four conducted the theoretical and practical research of the curriculum design ideal of 2014 " National Core Art Standards " “the teaching design focusing on the understanding” and “the backwards design”.The fifth chapter explained the contents and characteristics of "visual art standard" which was honored as one standard of the 2014 “National Standards of Art Education” and related teaching practice.The sixth chapter concluded the enlightenment and reference of the " National Core Art Standards " in 2014 to our country's art education.Generally speaking,this paper tent to present a new field of curriculum reform for domestic art education and provided an international reference for the development of the art education in our country.
