Entrepreneurs' behavior is influenced by cognition and emotion, people focus on behavioral outcomes, but the process of selecting entrepreneurial behaviors is often more interesting.Under the current background of “mass entrepreneurship and innovation”,entrepreneurship is endowed with higher social expectations. How to guide entrepreneurial activities actively and effectively is a hot topic of entrepreneurship research at present. The purpose is to reveal the thinking process of entrepreneurs from discovering opportunities to generating entrepreneurial intentions and then deciding to develop opportunities.Classic entrepreneurship theory believes that entrepreneurial intention is driven by the key beliefs of entrepreneurial self-efficacy,that is,individuals' selfconfidence in the ability to complete entrepreneurial activities. The application of the concept of confidence in entrepreneurial activities is not limited to task orientation and competence perception. When describing entrepreneurial traits, entrepreneurship, and describing entrepreneurial emotions, entrepreneurial cognition and decision-making processes, selfconfidence has been given significant significance. However, due to the uncertainty of the psychological component of self-confidence,the current use of self-confidence functions is mainly conducted in a self-evident context.By avoiding the discussion of the self-confidence structure and defaulting its function, the content features of the self-confidence concept cannot be organically organized. On the one hand,it is impossible to ascertain the mechanism of self-confidence affecting the entrepreneurial activity, and it also limits the functional application of self-confidence in entrepreneurial education activities. This paper proposes a study on entrepreneurial self-confidence.On the one hand,it tries to answer the logical relationship between self-confidence and entrepreneurial activity. That is,how confident cognitive components and self-belief are organized through the logic of entrepreneurial activity;on the other hand,it explores the entrepreneurial self-confidence structure. What is the psychological essence and structure conducive to clarifying self-confidence,and it can provide a theoretical basis for the function of self-confidence in different fields. This article uses qualitative research methods, using grounded theory in combination with in-depth interviews and entrepreneurial cases.Under the background of the Theory of Planned Behavior(TPB),taking the structure of entrepreneurial selfconfidence as the main line,it makes a preliminary exploration of the concept, connotation and function of entrepreneurial self-confidence.Study 1 used in-depth interviews combined with grounded theory to conduct in-depth interviews with 15 college students to investigate the entrepreneurial beliefs of college students,to answer the belief foundation of college students' entrepreneurial attitude formation, and to construct a structural model of college students' entrepreneurial beliefs. The results show that the college students' belief in entrepreneurship consists of five factors: entrepreneurial expectations, entrepreneurial action, entrepreneurial support systems, entrepreneurial learning, and entrepreneurial competency, which reflect the psychological transition process of college students from generating entrepreneurial intentions to realizing entrepreneurial practices. The entrepreneurial belief of college students is gradually formed under the framework of entrepreneurial cognition of “situation-thinking-behavior”,and it is a cognition of entrepreneurial activities.Study 2 uses case studies combined with grounded theory, selects two entrepreneurial biographies about entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial processes as the source of case studies, uses grounded theory and NVivo11 software to explore the structure of entrepreneurial self-confidence,and constructs an entrepreneurial self-confidence structure model. The results found that entrepreneurial self-confidence is a confident attitude to entrepreneurial activity;it is a far-channel confidence.Entrepreneurial selfconfidence consists of entrepreneurial self-confidence cognition, entrepreneurial self-confidence emotion, and entrepreneurial self-confidence behavior.Among them, entrepreneurial self-confidence cognition mainly includes entrepreneurial certainty and entrepreneurial perspectiveness.Entrepreneurial self-confidence emotion is composed of entrepreneurial optimist elements, and entrepreneurial self-confidence behavior includes entrepreneurial execution and entrepreneurial toughness. In summary, college students' belief in entrepreneurship includes five factors: entrepreneurial expectations, entrepreneurial action, entrepreneurial support systems, entrepreneurial learning, and entrepreneurial competency.Entrepreneurial self-confidence is a self-confidence attitude toward entrepreneurial activities. It is a kind of far-reaching self-confidence.Its structure consists of entrepreneurial certainty, entrepreneurial perspectiveness, entrepreneurial execution, entrepreneurial toughness and entrepreneurial optimism.
