Investigation On The New Form Of Dynamic Innovation Of "Graphic Symbol" Subtitles In TV Variety Show

The variety show is a major type of today's television show.Simply copying the original style can not meet the audience as the appreciation ability had raised.So it is necessary to bring forth the new through the old.In addition to creating new forms of variety shows,old variety shows must have new changes in order to attract the audience's attention.Today's TV variety shows emphasize on the visual thinking,and obey to the programming of TV shows,to cater to the visual thinking habits that the audience has developed.In 2013,Hunan TV launched the TV variety show "where are we going,dad ? ",and had an impressive ratings.To keep the ratings,Hunan TV had added some new attractions to draw the attention of audience in season two and season three.In which the new form of subtitle—animated subtitle with innovation and dynamic in the season three is worth to analyze as a typical case.Animated subtitle is a new form of subtitles that used in post-production of TV shows to explain the image,increase the sense of humor and the dynamic feel of the picture.They appear frequently in the screen in the form of "graphic symbol".This article study on the subtitles of season three of "where are we going,dad ? " to explore and discover the secrets behind subtitles.Firstly,we have discussed the development status of variety shows,analyzed the aesthetic characteristics of the film and television arts,the laws of "audio-visual language",the video packaging of variety shows,the origin of the "graphic symbols",and the construction of formal beauty.Next,we have analyzed the creative content and innovation of forms of animated subtitle.For the content,we have studied the formation of the change,deformation and activation of subtitle.For the forms,we have explored the secrets behind the subtitles of large font,bright color decoration,the use of figures,music notes,and so on.The "graphic symbol" subtitles are made around the program theme,related to the content of the program,such as the dialogues,outlooks,expressions,movements,and inner activities of the characters in the show.That content is positive and causing the audience to laugh.So that the audience could constantly learning new knowledge.Compared with the visual communication of traditional TV subtitles,Graphic symbol subtitle is remarkable,which is also the success of "animated subtitles".It is worth to deeply investigate the animated subtitle since it is entertaining,educational,aesthetic and humorous.The subtitles appeared on the screen,not just regular text subtitles,but also incorporate decorative color elements such as graphics,symbols,numbers,etc.which exaggerated and post-processed,could deepens the image of the characters,activates the plot atmosphere and beautifies the images.Also we have learned the dissemination of "animated subtitles" from visual symbol,summarize the function,character,and artistic effect of the animated subtitles,to form a set of subtitle production method system.In addition,the audience viewing experience of different age groups was also investigated in the form of questionnaires.Most viewers praised “animated subtitles” on the screen and thought it could increase the sense of humor.This has also led to the imitation of other variety shows.At the end of this paper,we analyzed the homogenization of “symbolic subtitles”.
