A Study On The Demonstrative Pronouns Of "Zhe" And "Na" In Luotuo Xiangzi

In this paper,“Luotuo Xiangzi” as the main source of corpus,a quantitative analysis and static description of a combination of methods,exhaustively studied the “Luotuo Xiangzi” in all “Zhe”,"Na" of demonstrative pronouns,and the two to compare and analyze the grammatical problems,semantic problems and proportional distribution problems of the “two pronunciations” of “Zhe” and “Na”.Through the synchronic comparison of the demonstrative pronouns of “Zhe” and “Na”,we find that the demonstrative pronouns of “Zhe” and “Na” are mainly composed of “Zhe / Na” + nouns /quantifiers,or by this structure.The main function of the two is administration and addressing.There are obvious asymmetry and quantity variance of the demonstrative pronouns of “Zhe” and “Na”.The article divides the demonstrative pronouns in “Luotuo Xiangzi” into five categories: modality,quantity,time,place and comprehensive.For modality demonstrative pronouns,demonstrative functions are more frequently used than addressing functions.When it refers to demonstration,they are used to indicate degree,mode and trait,acted as attributives and adverbs in the sentence;When it refers to addressing,they are used to indicate mood,action and condition,acted as subject,predicate,objective,adverbial and complement.Demonstrative pronouns of the number indicate that the usages of demonstration are far more than the usages of addressing.When used for administration,they mainly indicate the number of people,things and objects,and do more attributives in sentences.When used for addressing,they mainly acted as subject and object.For demonstrative pronouns of time,they only have addressing function.The main function is to address the time of action,behavior,event.They can be acted as object,attribute and adverbial.For demonstrative pronouns of place,they only have addressing function.The main function is to address the place of action,behavior,event.They can be mainly acted as adverbial.The comprehensive pronoun indicates the “Zhe” or "Na" of the demonstrative pronouns that indicate people,things,or situations,and can be the subject,object and attribute in the sentence.The article also gives a brief introduction of related issues such as demonstrative pronoun “Zhe”,“Na”,exaggeration,linking function andother related issues.Compared with “Zhe” and “Na” in “Dream of Red Mansions”,“Zhe” and “Na” in“Luotuo Xiangzi” developed very well of demonstrative pronouns system and complete the replacement of the vocabulary system.Some old words,such as “Zhe Bixiang”,“Na Bixiang”,they already disappeared,but some new words appeared,such as “Zher”,“Nar”.
