With the progress and development of society,the era of economic globalization has arrived.English is one of the most important communicative languages in the world.As a bridge to communicate the world,it is increasingly valued by language researchers.Reading is a very important means to master and use English knowledge in English learning.It is an important way for people to communicate and gain information.It occupies a very important position in the five basic English skills--listening,speaking,reading,writing and translating.Therefore,the important role and status of reading in junior high school English teaching is expanding day by day.However,there are still some problems in junior high school English teaching,especially in rural junior high schools.Some unreasonable traditional teaching modes still exist and students' reading ability is still very low.Therefore,how to solve the problem of improving junior high school students' reading ability is imminent.This paper aims to help students in the rural junior middle school with the help of the cognitive theory of cognitive theory and element of English reading comprehension monitor learning,and use kinds of reading strategies to sort out,to help students find their obstacles in learning and find the corresponding countermeasures.The theoretical parts of this paper about introduction and literature review.The introduction aims to clarify the background,purpose and significance of the research.The literature review aims to clarify the theoretical guidance at home and abroad in students' learning,and to identify students' English reading comprehension.And it is to propose metacognitive theory and cognitive theory for the guidance students' English reading comprehension in the rural junior middle school.The empirical part of this paper combines the teaching practice,using the method of classroom observation,questionnaire and interview to analyze the obstacles encountered by the rural junior high school students in answering the reading comprehension.The key chapters in this article are the fourth and the fifth chapters,which is the core of this article.According to the research data and results,the current situation of English Reading Comprehension Barriers in rural junior high school students is analyzed,and the obstacles in English reading comprehension in rural junior high school students are found out.Finally,the corresponding strategies are put forward in combination with the results of empirical research and the existing reading barriers.In this paper,the author combines the personal experience of English teaching in junior high school,and discusses students' English Reading Comprehension Barriers and their solutions in the rural junior middle school.
