A Comparative Study Of Poem Of Yang Wanli And Zhang Zi

Yang Wanli and Zhang Zi are two distinguished poets in the Southern Song Dynasty,they have produced great influence on the Southern Song Dynasty and jointly promoted the flow of poetry ideological trend and represented innovation and change.The research object of this article is Yang Wanli’s and Zhang Zi’s poems,for previous research pay more attention to the two poems influence each other,this article focus on the difference between the two poems,using the comparative study to highlight the characteristics of their poetry.This article consists of two parts,which are introduction and main body.The introduction is about the research purpose and significance,current research status,research methods.The main body of the article can be divided into four chapters.The first chapter compares Yang Wanli’s and Zhang Zi’s life.Zhang Zi was born noble,who is a officer’s son,living luxury life,advocating elegant,to pursuit the delight from the wild,indifference to the fame and wealth,there are recluse in his mind.Yang Wanli was born commoner,who is a typical Confucian intellectual that he has a strong sense of social responsibility and mission,so he is concerned with the nation and people.Different life experiences is one of the roots of the differences between the two poems.The second chapter compares the poetry content of the two poets.This paper will refers to four aspects:landscape poetry,communication poetry,political poetry,lyric poetry.The similarities in the content of the two poems are that there is a large amount of landscape poetry,communication poetry,lyric poetry.The biggest difference is that Zhang Zi’s poems are less directly related to the political works of social issue,while Yang wanli always worried about the people,and he is concerned with the livelihood of the people and the critics.The third chapter compares the poem theories of the two poets.Both of them are influenced by the prosaic poetry and zen in the Song Dynasty,the creative psychology tends to be introverted,and the creation themes are more daily.They are both out of jiangxi and claim to form his unique style.The difference is that Yang Wanli is a talented poet,who attaches importance to the trigger of poetry,while hardship creative is Zhang Zipoetic pursuit.In terms of the function of poetry,Yang Wanli inherited the Confucian functionalism and emphasized the realistic function of the poem.Zhang Zi,pay more attention to the aesthetics of the poem,with the aesthetic view of the world and creation,his poetry otherworldly.The fourth Chapter is about the artistic characteristics of the two poets.Both the "natural" as their own pursuit of poetry,the difference is that Yang Wanli’s "natural" is the result of his profound poetic self-restraint follow.Zhang Zi advocate the natural poem method,but the "natural" in language,structure is the result of his deliberately pursue.Aesthetic aspects: zhang Zi pursues elegance,Yang Wanli "substitute popularity for elegance".Poetry style: Zhang Zi has meaningful and unconstrained style,Yang Wanli has natural and humorous style.
