A Comparative Analysis Of "?/?" In Chinese And "i/geu/jeo" In Korean

Deixis is a universal phenomenon in human language.Deixis is expressions referring to objects which exist in the real,mental and imaginative space of a listener and speaker."zhe/na" is the most typical expression for deixis to realize such functions in Chinese and"i/geu/jeo" in Korean.There are many similarities and differences in the process of using language.And Chinese word has a dichotomous system which is "zhe/na" and Korean word has "i/geu/jeo" as trichotomy system structurally.What we can see here is that even if they may have something in common on the surface,there are big structural and grammatical functions differences in depth.The research objects are both Chinese word "zhe/na”and"i/geu/jeo" in Korean.In addition,it conducts comparative studies in areas such as deixis functions and the relation between deixis word and cultural psychology.Then,it also identifies the similarities and differences between the two and the corresponding relation.The first chapter discusses that research purposes,literature reviews and research methods and meaning and also highlights about "deixis word”as two scope in Chinese and Korean academic world.Firstly,it analyzes the definition and part of speech of the deixis word"Zhe/na" and "i/geu/jeo"and secondly research of deixis function.The second chapter analyzes the deixis function of the "zhe/na"and "i/geu/jeo" and this deixis function can be divided into three categories:"spot deixis","conceptual deixis" and"contextual deixis".It mainly analyzes "spot deixis" and "contextual deixis",and the similarities and differences in the process in using the both language and its relations.Also,it specifies the deixis relation.The third chapter is the studies of deixis word in both language and relation of cultural psychology.Among them,"zhe/na" and "i/geu/jeo" was emphatically analyzed an linguistic value with emotion,euphemism and taboo word.The important point is that a combination relationship with nouns indicating person does not free in case that"i/geu/jeo" involves personal pronoun unlike"zhe/na" in Chinese.Therefore range of use is absolutely limited.However,i-geos/geu-geos/jeo-geos"involves meaning of calling man autonomously unlike"zhe-ge/na-ge" in Chinese.It can also express abundant emotion color.
