An Empirical Study On The Erosion Phenomena Of Verbal Communication Competence Of The Aged Based On Working Memory Theory

With the development and progress of society,the aged have become one of the mainstream groups among the world.Nowadays,aging society has become the general trend of world development.And how to manage the resources of the elderly people in health and science will benefit the construction of harmonious society and social progress.However,with the aging body function,the old people suffer from the physical dysfunction,degradation of cognitive function and psychological problems,which have tremendous implications for a healthy life,especially in language communication.Therefore,in order to scientific and systematic research on the verbal communication corrosion phenomena of the aged,this thesis will use questionnaire and three related experiments to explore the verbal communication erosion condition based on the theory of working memory.This thesis combines a comprehensive empirical study on linguistics repetition,memory loss,hearing loss,speed and volume of the old people.In order to enhance the reliability of the results,this thesis use quantitative and qualitative method to analyze the483 old people,and the conclusions are collected through SPSS.At the end of this thesis,it also highlights the function of ethical concerns of the aged and puts forward corresponding countermeasures.This study is the combination of theoretical and practical significance.Firstly,verbal communication competence erosion is important in the development progress of human communication.The research perspective of this study accords with the development trend of the aging society and it indeed has a certain value.At the same time,under the aging society background,this study also provides a new way to research on the verbal communication competence erosion of the aged.Secondly,the erosion phenomenon of verbal communication competence of the aged in light of working memory theory is one essential part of researching on cognitive changes of the brain.In terms of the academic history,whether the division of the brain structure or the exploration of cognitive function of brain,it is quite important for people to understand the brain by distinguishing the relationships among language,brain and working memory.Verbal communication function is an important part of brain cognition,andits development is closely related to the development of aging and cognitive function.Therefore,the study of verbal communication competence losses of the old people is an creative way to reveal the changes of the brain.Finally,the study of verbal communication erosion has practical clinical significance and important social significance.The researches of the erosion phenomena of verbal communication competence and working memory laws will prompt the development of the humanistic progress,establish and perfect the verbal communication channels,help the aged to enjoy social services,and reuse the resources of the aged.This is one of the basic ageing population strategies to deal with the aging issues and bring a series of important clinical significance and social benefits.
