As a painter and theorist in the early Qing dynasty,Yun Shouping's flower-and-bird paintings are very famous.Because of that,he was considered one of the Six Masters of the Early Qing.In fact,besides his flower-and-bird paintings,his painting aesthetic thoughts are also valuable.This paper attempts to present a clear painting aesthetic system of Yun Shouping,which can provide a theoretical support for the study on his poetry and calligraphy.According to the research,Yun Shouping's painting aesthetics system is a theory about "artistic conception",taking "ease" as the core.He has a special understanding on "ease" and he enriches the aesthetic connotation of the theory about "artistic conception".This dissertation has four chapters.The first chapter gives an overview of Yun Shouping's life experience.The rough experience in his early life became the inner force for the formation of "devotion to emotion" theory.The association with his friends had comprehensively improved the level of his painting skills and his thoughts.On this basis,the chapter emphasizes that the literati painter group played an important role in the formation of his values and aesthetic thoughts.The second chapter is divided into four sections,which respectively discuss his aesthetic characteristics in the concepts of "ease","significance of painting","artistic conception of painting","quietness and purification",and analyze them in combination with his paintings.The first section,"Ease and Emotion":"devotion to emotion" refers to the spiritual reality of "ease".He emphasizes the expression of emotion in painting.His "devotion to feelings" enriched the aesthetic connotation of the core concept of literati painting,"ease".The second section,"Significance of Painting":He emphasizes the role of "artistic conception" in painting.Yun Shouping realized the true meaning of naive and natural picturesque scene through his intentional management of painting.The third section,"Artistic Conception of Painting":Yun Shouping only loves desolate and cold environment.Although he is famous for his boneless flower-and-bird painting,this cannot erase his pursuit of artistic conception of landscape painting,which is the highest ideal of literati.The fourth section,"Quietness and Purification":Sit in contemplation and purify your mind so that you can see a natural world."Quietness and Purification" is Yun Shouping's way to pursue artistic conception of painting,and it is also a way for painters to improve their artistic accomplishment.The third chapter analyzes the causes of Yun Shouping's aesthetic thoughts.In addition to inheriting and reflecting on literary and artistic theories,Yun Shouping's transformation from adherents to recluse had an impact on the formation of his painting aesthetic thoughts.In addition,the philosophical thoughts of Confucianism,Buddhism and Taoism,especially Zhuang Chan's thoughts,also affect the elucidation of his aesthetic concepts.The fourth chapter is the reflection on the value of Yun Shouping's aesthetic thought of painting.On the one hand,he inherited and innovated the boneless flower-and-bird painting techniques.He also promoted the development of Chinese flower-and-bird painting.On the other hand,his artistic aesthetic thought brought a new wind in the early Qing dynasty when mud and ancient customs prevailed,and played a leading role in the emergence of Shi Tao's "One Painting Theory".
