| The study of ci poetry flourished in the Qing Dynasty, with numerous schools of Ci poetry.Among them, the Changzhou Ci school followed the Zhexi Ci school and had a profound impact on the late Qing and Republic of China.Zhou Ji was a backbone poet of the Changzhou Ci School. In the twelfth year of the Daoguang reign(1832),Zhou Ji compiled the "Songsijia selections" and selected Zhou Bangyan,Xin Qiji,Wu Wenying, and Wang Yisun as the leaders. He establishs a path of "from south to north" in the study of Ci,making important contributions to the construction of the Changzhou School of Ci theory. This thesis takes "Songsijia selections" and Zhou Ji’s Ci Theory as the research object. The reasons for the canonization of the Songsijia poetics are discussed.Zhou Ji’s poetics are inherited from poetics in the Song Dynasty. This paper examines the selections from the Song Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty,as well as the comments on the Songsijia, and discusses the deep reasons why Zhou Ji chose the four poets. The integration and transcendence of Zhou Ji’s Ci anthology and Ci theory on the predecessors are being highlighted by four Ci poets, establishing a Ci genealogy that integrates the two Song dynasties, and pointing out the path of learning Ci.Zhou Ji’s selection of the four poets of the Song Dynasty is based on the theoretical core of "Bixing Jituo".He indicates the goal of tracing the ci path from the Southern Song Dynasty to the Northern Song Dynasty. These three together constitute Zhou Ji’s Ci theory system. Therefore, this paper attempts to combine the three, explores the theory and practice of Zhou Ji’s selections and theory.According to this paper,Zhou Ji chose the four Song Ci poets not only because they were divided into the two Song dynasties, but also because they had both the qualities of the two Song dynasty Ci poems. This indicates that the path of Songsijia was to learn from the craftsmanship of the Southern Song dynasty and intentionally express themselves, thereby creating a natural and unintentional expression of the Northern Song dynasty.Zhou Ji’s poetics have theoretical significance in promoting the style of poetry and influencing future generations.Their theory of poetry continues Zhang Huiyan’s imitation of "Feng" and "Sao" in his poetry, returning the style of poetry to the spirit of Confucian poetry education and integrating it with poetry. As a result,it received strong responses during the late Qing and Republic of China periods.Since Zhang Huiyan and Zhou Ji,the later world of Ci poetry has remained largely within the scope of the Changzhou Ci School.Ci writers have either continued, reinterpreted,or reversed, and provided more detailed explanations of Zhou Ji’s Ci theory. |
