The status of social endowment insurance for urban and rural residents is becoming more and more prominent in rural areas, and what influence will "rural religious fever" bring to it.Using CGSS2015 data to explore the relationship between religious beliefs and farmers' willingness to participate in social endowment insurance,it was found that there was no significant correlation between religious beliefs and farmers' willingness, and there was no significant correlation between institutionalized religious beliefs and farmers' willingness, but only scattered religious beliefs have a significant positive correlation with farmers' willingness. The results of this empirical analysis are very different from those of many previous scholars.Further tests of the mechanism of action revealed that it is the cultural attributes of religious beliefs that have significantly affected the farmers' willingness, rather than institutional attributes.Based on the findings above, this paper puts forward the following suggestions: Firstly, strengthen the promotion and implementation of the social endowment insurance for urban and rural residents, and improve the trust level of religious believers;Secondly, promote the integration of religious culture and Chinese traditional culture to make it more adaptable in the development of the Chinese society;Furthermore, understand the social responsibility of religion completely, and take advantage of religious power to promote the development of social security; Finally, implement the religious policy to standardize religious participation in the service system for the aged.
