Love Narrative In Closed And Narrow "space"

In recent years,with the development of Spatial Narrative,more and more novel works have attracted the attention of researchers.Although this research has become a hot topic,the research on the combination of Spatial Narrative and the works of women writers is still a minority.Especially for women writers before the new era,the attention is not enough which leads to that people gradually forget the efforts made by women writers in space narrative.It is noteworthy that female writers have a unique space narrative expression in love stories-the setting of closed and narrow "space".From some perspectives,the space in the novel is a reflection of the female writers’ perception of real life.The closed and narrow "space" is precisely an aesthetic judgment and pursuit of the outside world in their hearts.Eileen Chang’s Blockade and Li Chi’s Blooming Like a Rose Overnight both use this expression in narration,although these two works have time difference about half a century.Is this a special case or is it a common phenomenon in female writers’ fiction writing? It is worth pondering.This paper wishes to find out the expression mode and writing purpose of female writers in love narrative through careful analysis and in-depth study of space narrative in their love stories during this period.This paper consists of five parts: introduction,three chapters of the body and conclusion.The introduction part: This part mainly introduces and explains the reasons and significance of the paper,the current research situation and research methods.The first chapter: From the perspective of story space and discourse space,this paper makes a close reading and analysis of the texts of Blockade and Blooming Like a Rose Overnight by using the theory of Spatial Narrative,especially the comparison of the enclosed space of "carriage",where love occurs in the novel,in order to explore the similarity of their spatial choices in love stories.The second chapter: On the basis of the special phenomenon of the previous chapter,this paper explores the narrative characteristics of space and the universality of closed and narrow "space" in the works of modern and contemporary women writers(Feng Yuanjun,Ling Shuhua,Ding Ling,Xiao Hong,Eileen Chang,Zong Pu,Zhang Jie and Chi Li)from the period of the Republic of China to the new period.The third chapter: From the perspective of women writers’ writing purposes and writing methods,this paper explores the causes of their closed and narrow "space" narrative.The conclusion: Summarize the narrative style and writing significance of closed and narrow "space" in female writer’s love stories,point out its uniqueness,research value and influence.
