| In the 1970 s and 1980 s,a return to figurative art emerged,which is called neo-expressionism.Neo-expressionist artists opposed the creation mode of minimalism and conceptual art prevailing at that time and advocated returning to easel painting to seek the inspiration and source of creation in the past cultural.In order to revive German native art,German neo-expressionist artists intentionally restored German expressionist tradition on the basis of absorbing American abstract expressionism.This paper takes Baselitz,a remarkable representative of the German New Expressionism,as the research object.Baselitz's unique expressive creation makes the concrete paintings become an important part of post modern art.And Baselitz's freedom in creative thoughts and artistic expression forms makes his artistic works have unique expressiveness.First,the study of Baselitz's works is based on the following three aspects: One is the era background;Second,the German national character and artistic tradition;Third,the emergence and development of New Expressionism.Then,analyzing and interpreting the external expression and the internal art concept which supports the unique expression creation of Baselitz,through the above three aspects.Finally,the paper expounded the influence of Baselitz.The second chapter analyzed the German national character and artistic tradition,the influence of the World War ? and Cold War on German art,the emergence and development of New Expressionism,based on the era background of Baselitz.The third chapter studied the uniqueness of Baselitz's art form and painting language,techniques from four aspects,including four sections.First,the upside-down painting with unique style is studied.The upside-down painting makes the painting free from the content,strives for the freedom of creation for the author and embodies the purity of painting.Then,the unique composition style of ‘fragment painting' by Baselitz was appreciated and analyzed.‘Fragment painting' as a ‘means' reappears the author's profound thinking of ‘history' and ‘reality' in visual form,and successfully intervenes in the matters of urgent concern,such as the sorrow of war and confusion,the preciousness of life,etc.The third section took the time as the node to analyze the difference of the painter's color application in different periods.Finally,Baselitz's sculpture works were studied,and the author's artistic expression forms were analyzed.The third chapter studied the ‘artistic will' behind Baselitz's unique expressive creation,including individual mental characteristics,artistic concepts,philosophical system and emotional feelings.First,the influence of Baselitz's ‘provocative' attitude on his creation from the use of materials,the theme and content and the unique painting form is analyzed.Then,analyzing the influence of ‘unconsciousness' on Baselitz's painting creation as the effect of ‘unconsciousness' on the painting creation is different in different historical periods and different contexts.Baselitz focused on emotional catharsis in the early stage and more on the creation of diversified artistic forms in the later period.Taking point,line and plane as the object to find the trace of deliberate control by the painter based on the analysis of the Baselitz's works after 1990 s to summarize the importance of control and laissez-faire for creation.Finally,the paper focused on the emotions,such as loneliness and apathy,expressed in Baselitz's works.The fourth chapter expounds the practical significance of ‘Baselitz art',including the influence on German art and Chinese Neo-Expressionism painting.Basilitz dared to resist the traditional spirit and the ideological consciousness of pursuing creative freedom,which enabled him to constantly breed new art forms on the road of artistic exploration.He has always maintained a unique painting style in the field of painting,which is worth exploring and learning by the new generation of artists. |
