With the rapid development of the national economy since China's reform and opening-up,the focus of Chinese people's life has gradually shifted from basic necessities of life, like work, food and clothing,to the field of literature and art.Entertainment has become a hot topic for people's leisure after dinner.Nowadays, social networks are full of cyber-words which differ greatly from the language used in real life. The research object of this thesis is fan language,a special language phenomenon generated based on the combination of social network and entertainment phenomenon, that is,the language used by fan groups to communicate with on another when they are having their fans activities online. From the sociolinguistics point of view, this language can also be regarded as "implicit jargon" which belongs exclusively to fans.If one is not a fan of some celebrity,or he or she lacks knowledge of the fan culture,it is difficult to correctly understand the meaning of fan language. These words are not only widely recognized by the online fans, but also accepted by the mass media. They are widely used in the official media, such as " da call"(to cheer for someone)and "freestyle" among the Top Ten Internet Buzzwords selected by Chinese National Language Monitoring and Research Center in 2017,and "skr" and "C wei"(center position in an idol group)in 2018,etc.These are all examples of online fan jargons. The emergence of fan language is closely related to the diversification and internationalization of fan culture, the richness and diversity of Chinese vocabulary system, the economic principle of language and the memetic factors of network transmission, and also influenced by the way of Chinese character input into and output from the Internet in the digital era. From a more in-depth perspective, the emergence of online fan language also reflects a symbolic representation, which is clearly and directly related to the social identity of fandoms,as well as their evasive implicitness and their aspiration to do something unconventional or unorthodox. As a new form of social language variant, the academic circles have not done much research on it.The author summarizes and classifies the fans network jargons in the past two years, and defines the concept and scope of the online fans' terms by using the relevant linguistic theories.Through the analysis of the nature and source of fans' online language, the author puts forward certain solution to the language problems contained in it,and also provides reference and research materials for the research and guidance of network language in the use of modern Chinese. There are some differences between fans' network jargons and common network language. It not only realizes the economic requirements of network communication, improving the efficiency of language communication, but also has a sense of vividness, with its unique tacitness and exclusiveness,or in other words,a kind of attibute belonging to this special social group. On the other hand, because the majority of the group using fan language are teenagers,it does have a certain impact on teenagers' online language environment. Therefore,we should guide the fan groups to adapt to the correct context and apply the fan language appropriately so as to enhance their awareness of using Chinese in a standardized way and cultivate their ability to distinguish entertainment-oriented language from serious language.
