With the development of world economy,the talents for English teaching are becoming more and more important.However,the relative poor cultivating system has difficulty in following the steps.So,it is very important to study how to design perfect curriculum system for society.Based on the theories of curriculum design and needs analysis,this paper does questionnaire survey and interview to graduates of English major,English teachers in Yangquan Teachers,College and English head teachers from primary school.The findings show:1.The cultivating goal is not clear.2.It is difficult to meet the needs of students and society by the single curriculum.3.There are not enough teaching skill courses in existing curriculum.4.The ineffective arrangement of teaching practice and paper writing is a big problem.This paper puts forward the following suggestions on curriculum design for Yangquan Teachers' College:1.To cultivate comprehensive talents with solid professional knowledge and skills at the same time as well as good teaching skills.2.To cultivate suitable teachers,Yangquan Teachers,College should conduct point system and optional courses.3.Add teaching skills courses for teachers and merge or relete redundant courses.4.Establish diversified long-term teaching practice activities and replace the paper writing by writing the summary of practice.These findings offer a useful data basis for Yangquan Teachers' College to cultivate qualified English teaching talents for local society.
